A Moment In Time (AMIT) is a 65-acre equestrian farm in Southern Maryland offering boarding, training, and lessons. AMIT has a large, active community of horses and riders: approximately 45 school horses, 20 boarders, a dozen instructors, and 140 clients. We strive to make horseback riding safe and enjoyable. We are also a certified Maryland Horse Discovery Center. Don't hesitate to contact us with any questions or comments!

Due to the wet weather, we will not have our Friday evening lessons here at AMIT. However, we will hold a makeup lesson tomorrow at 1pm for anyone who missed a lesson this winter. Please arrive at 1pm for horse assignments.

I want to thank everyone for their patience as we deal with the ice and cold! During these times we like to offer Indoor lessons. Indoor lessons are a great opportunity for our riders to grow the bond between them and the horse and learn proper horse care.

AMIT won the ice lottery, so while its still not safe to ride, will be having indoor lessons for our Monday evening lessons. Please coordinate with your instructor.

I don’t know what we did to offend the Snow Miser, but this darn snow will not leave. It’s morphed into ice everywhere. Unless there is an unexpected heat wave (please let it be in the 40s again 🙏), we will be canceling lessons for the rest of the of the week.
