UPDATE ON PUPS IN MCDOWELL COUNTY: I first wanted to say THANK YOU to Courtney & Karen who work as advocates with McDowell county, Taunya & Sammi from Soaring Hope Animal Rescue Partners-SHARP, Ronya, Richard for taking in 3 of the pups, until they go to the rescue tomorrow, McDowell County Sheriff Dept. & to everyone who donated, shared our posts & who reached out to help in any way they could.
In addition to the 11 pups, including 2 pregnant mama's, that were left outside, there were also 2 in the house.
I'm so happy to tell you that Brandon spoke with the owner of a very reputable rescue & EVERY SINGLE PUP is being transported to his rescue in just a couple days! 1 of the mama's is already with an amazing rescue, where she'll stay!
Your donations have purchased straw, tarps & food for these babies. Brandon & Courtney have been to the property several times since we heard about this, feeding, watering, hanging tarps & laying straw to make them all as comfortable as possible.
Any donation that was earmarked for certain pups is being transferred to the rescue, who will be coming to get them.
I've added photo's & videos so that you can see just what these pups have been dealing with. It's absolutely disgusting. We will continue to press for charges to be brought against the owner (prior owner as all pups have already been surrendered), & will keep you all posted with updates.
