We have one of our amazing rescue volunteers in Louisiana that reached out to us for help for a beautiful momma and her 9 babies!
Cece Is an absolutely amazing dog and is being a great momma too. She is house broken and does great with other animals and kids.

This is CeCe’s story from our volunteer below.
Mama CeCe was seized in the beginning of October. I was contacted on October 14 in regard to her. The inmates at the prison had been caring for her, and she had developed mastitis, that had ruptured. She was facing euthanasia with every odd against her. Mastitis, heavily pregnant, an old injury to her leg, heart worm positive, and above all being the breed she is. On October 14, I decided her fate wasn’t euthanasia but instead to come home with me where I provided a safe place for her to deliver, and vowed to find her a rescue who would care for her. I did just that, and was successful in getting her this far. She delivered 11 babies on October 11, and a 12th pup two days later. She has survived 9 babies with lots of bottle feeding help of course! Two puppies succumbed to their birth defects (cleft palate ) at one day old and one week old. Of the 9 survivors, one baby has been diagnosed with dry eye, that has now developed ulcers causing her to lose her sight, and potentially to lose her eye(s) in the future. She has been treated with drops and we will continue to do so. We have reached out to a blind dog rescue who has committed to helping network this blind baby at the least!
