“BREAKING: we are almost underwater 😭

The main kennels are safe, but our overflow kennels are concerning. The water is touching our overflow space, where we have 13 dogs 😭

And more rain is on the way 💔

We DESPERATELY need adopters and fosters today. Our goal is to move 15 dogs out to be able to clear out the area that's starting to take on water.

Our team is rushing in - our executive director and an amazing volunteer got in at 6:30 to make sure the animals were safe for right now while we made a plan.

We'll have our staff ready to go at noon to process fosters and adopters!! $14 for dogs and puppies, fostering is free and we'll give you supplies ❤️”

14 dogs were extricated from inhumane conditions roughly a month ago in McDowell County, and one of those animals carries a unique story.

Update on the 15 McDowell Co dogs! Tessa aka “momma” is on medication for her eye and has surgery scheduled to remove it. All other dogs are warming up nicely to the staff at Animal Rescue Corps! We want to thank everyone who has post positive comments for such a terrible situation. Those positive comments keep rescuers going. We love our followers!
