Wolfpine Whippets

I've been awfully quiet on this page with no updates. I apologize! Its been a busy bit. Dogs of wolfpine have been busy doing whippet things! Lure coursing, showing, carrying sticks on their walks with their adoring family, snuggling cats, being loved by their children. So proud of every dog I have produced no matter what they do!

We will be lure coursing locally this weekend (Nov 2-3) if you have ever wanted to check it out! We will be by the wave pool at Lake Erie Metro Park in Rockwood, MI. If you come seek me out! I'm happy to answer any and all questions about my kennel, about whippets, about lure coursing or anything else you can come up with. :)

Hey Whippet coursing friends.....I'm trying to get an idea for a budget for the AWC Midwest coursing Specialty we are having in Bellevue MI on June 28th. So if you are even thinking about attending could you let me know? Currently we have ribbons from Premier Rosettes already ordered and ready to go. Best of Breed prize is a beautiful coursing whippet rug handmade by Cydney Petit. She graciously donated it for her cost. I'd love to offer more prizes so feel free to enter and/or to donate!

Same with my basenji friends as I'm the FTS and also helping with their budget as well. We have ribbons from Premier Rosettes for you too! I'm working with Michelle and Lianna to get you all great prizes as well! Donations and entries will make them awesome!

Singles are offered for both breeds. As well as the add'l stakes of breeder, kennel, bench and Dual champion.

AWC supported entry coursing trial on July 4th! In conjunction with 2 AKC all breed MGA trials on July 2-3 at Armada, MI. Also on Monday will be a Rhodesian ridgeback specialty and a Basenji Specialty. There is also a MGA supported Taco potluck on Saturday!

We are headed down to Muncie, IN tomorrow for the NLCC (2021 AKC National
Lure Coursing Championships). It is a beautiful field at the Academy of Model Aeronautics. The event is free to spectators. Dogs will be running on Friday and Saturday with the Finale on Sunday.

It’s been an amazing start to late summer early fall! The newest litter is out doing amazing things at just 7.5 mos old! Crypto got his first title in dock diving and his sister, Fig got an invite to the NADD regionals! The rest of them are playing with their kids, going for walks, learning how to swim and being all around awesome brave little pups.

Harley was once again in the running for the best in event in Racine Wisconsin at the MWCC asfa trial. After a tie with the greyhound she lost it by one point! She was also best of breed this last weekend at the akc trial at the friendship cluster in Ohio. She is preparing to run at the NLCC In Muncie Indiana over Halloween. She also now has 2 legs towards her rally novice title.

Widget completed his BN in beginner novice in obedience. He also got 2 of his RN legs. That same weekend he completed his CGC, CGCA and his TKN.

Our patriarch, Kohl, had a rough start to the summer with his protein losing enteropathy but has gained the weight back and is enjoying the cooler weather.
