If you've attended any of the Apple Hill Stables Rodeos over the last few years and loved it........ Or if you haven't attended, but keep saying, "I gotta get to that!"..... Well, here it comes!!

AHS Charity Rodeo 2024, which benefits the Anah Shriners, is on the calendar!

So be sure to "save the dates" of September 6, 7, and 8 for all the buckin', ropin', and racin' good times of a PRCA-sanctioned rodeo, brought to us once again by All American Rodeo Company LLC.

Mark it on your calendar! Get it saved in your phone! Write that post-it note and put it on your computer monitor! You don't want to miss it 🤠

Apple Hill Stables Holding Pen Rules. Horse and rider only! There will not be any video taking or just hanging out in the holding pens. UNLESS You’re A
MINOR with a horse that NEEDS ASSISTANCE! Than you the parent and minor need to leave the holding pen area AFTER the run. Please do not just stand in the pen. IF YOU need assistance with a HORSE GOING INTO THE ALLEY WAY and your not a minor the helper must leave the pens once the horse has cleared the alley way to run. If your riding more than one horse you can leave the holding pen and have the other horse ready outside the gate to bring into the holding pens. This is for your safety last season we had a person get slammed up against the panels by a horse. We had a parent that was confused about this rule at Saturday’s event and we want to make sure everyone understands the rule. Some horses are very anguish to run from the pens and hard to stop coming into the pens,the rider needs to concentrate on their horse! Not worrying about stepping on a person standing in the pens.

5’ 6” forelock! 😳😳😳

Fun Horse Fact of the Day:
The longest recorded mane and tail on the same horse is held by Linus II, a horse from Oregon with a tail 19 ft long, a mane on each side 13ft long, and a forelock of 5ft 6 inches. Linus II was 16.2 hands tall, and weighed 1435 pounds! Photos circa 1890s by W.B. Pickett, taken in Salem Oregon.
