Helpful tip for your dog's mobility needs. Looks like this addresses the age-old issue with ramps being heavy, the angles are goofy, less useful with higher vehicles, a pain if your door doesn't open fully and the grip of the ground. Love the creativity and sharing the 'how-to' Thanks, Haven Lake Animal Hospital for the post.

What a great idea! One of our owners has created their own lightweight but sturdy step for their dog. They have glued pieces of cut insulation together and have topped it off with carpet pieces. It is crazy light but will hold a large breed dog without any problem.

Dog Friends, Missing Dog in Denton, MD!!

BELLA (approx 45 lbs, collar) escaped the car in a panic when her parents stopped briefly (Aldi parking lot) while traveling to Lewes, DE from Washington DC. Bella does not know the area.

If you happen to travel through the area, please keep an eye out for her and Do Not Approach. She is very fearful and will run. If you know someone who lives in the area, pls let me know. Please call Ruth: 301-366-1208 with any sightings.

Sometimes Puck comes to help other dogs learn too. Here he shows Kai how to turn the car into a fun game of “tunnel!” You see Kai is anti-auto. Today’s session was all fun and games, because cars can be fun. Puck thinks so.

Mid session with Puck and his pal (not shown). Puck gets to facilitate reaching new goals with his new friend. Puck is a therapy dog that works with the OT professionals at Child Inspired with his handler/mom, Lisa. Canine-assisted therapy is an incredible way to quickly build rapport, reach subjects that otherwise might be off limits, is experiential and, honestly, a lot of fun. I should start a series of pics… Often towards the end of a session when my client is getting some homework notes or scheduling our next follow up my client’s dog lays at my feet, almost always touching my foot or on my foot, very relaxed. I grab my phone and take a pic.
Asking for help, what should we call the series?
