The kennels are spacious, the atmosphere is homelike (with someone on site 24 hours per day), and there’s plenty of space for fun and play both inside and outdoors. Each dog staying with Passion Four Paws must be up-to-date on all vaccinations and understand basic obedience; this creates a hygienic and calm environment, reducing stress and health risks for all! The Lewis Center facility was once home to Acme Canine Resource Center. Aimee served as Acme Canine’s Kennel Manager in 2016, and she could not be more excited to take over the kennel facility and carry on the dedication to quality and care that was established by Laura and the Acme Staff!!

😂When you do it to your kids, it’s called “nagging”.
Contrary to what you may think, dogs do not understand the English language like humans…
🙄Duh, right?
But seriously…we talk to them as if they do.
🤯And when it comes to asking them to do something or to STOP doing something when tend to repeat ourselves, over and over and over again. That’s nagging and that’s when your dog will tune you out.
🤷‍♀️If we want a different outcome we need a different strategy.
🦮Try utilizing the leash and without saying a word, guide them to the behaviors you want, or away from those you don’t.
🔹For example, if you want your dog to stop barking out the window, grab the leash and guide him away from the window, instead of yelling from the other room.
🔹If you want your dog to come to you, say the word “come” ONCE, then grab the leash and guide them to you.
🗣️Repeating commands “poisons” the command and it becomes nothing but “nagging” to your dog.
🐕‍🦺Leave the leash on, lose the words and see if you don’t get a different outcome.
