Particularly important is to watch your pet doesn’t get scared or disoriented and run off. They may react much the same as with fireworks.

Keeping your pet π—¦π—”π—™π—˜ during the upcoming eclipse ( π˜”π˜°π˜―π˜₯𝘒𝘺, 𝘈𝘱𝘳π˜ͺ𝘭 8𝘡𝘩) is important due to potential confusion and anxiety that can be caused by the unusual dimming of light. Here are some key points to keep your pets safe during the eclipse:

Keep them π—œπ—‘π——π—’π—’π—₯𝗦: Keep your pets indoors during the eclipse to prevent confusion or anxiety caused by the sudden changes in light. Ensure they are in a comfortable, familiar environment with curtains drawn or blinds closed to minimize exposure to the unusual lighting conditions.

𝗣π—₯π—’π—©π—œπ——π—˜ π——π—œπ—¦π—§π—₯π—”π—–π—§π—œπ—’π—‘π—¦: To help alleviate any anxiety your pet may experience during the eclipse, provide distractions such as toys, treats, or engaging activities. Keeping them occupied can divert their attention away from the unusual event outside.

π— π—’π—‘π—œπ—§π—’π—₯ outdoor activities: If you need to take your pet outside during the eclipse, keep them on a leash and closely supervise them at all times. Pets may become disoriented or frightened by the changing light conditions, so it's essential to keep them under control to prevent them from running off or getting injured
Create a π—–π—”π—Ÿπ—  environment: Keep noise levels low and maintain a calm atmosphere inside your home during the eclipse. Loud noises or sudden movements could exacerbate your pet's anxiety, so try to create a peaceful environment to help them feel secure.

π—ͺ𝗔𝗧𝗖𝗛 for signs of distress: Monitor your pet closely for any signs of distress or discomfort during and after the eclipse. Signs may include pacing, panting, trembling, or attempts to hide. If you notice any signs of anxiety, comfort your pet and provide reassurance until the eclipse has passed and normal daylight returns.

By following these key points, you can help ensure your pet stays safe and comfortable during the unusual event of an eclipse.

With Easter approaching I like to give every cat owner an FYI on Easter Lilies or any type of Lilies. So deadly to cats. Even the pollen from them. They don't have to eat them. Just the pollen in the house. Many people don't realize this.

Happy sweet 16th birthday to Sophie.
She was one of my first pet sitting clients when she was just 9 months old. I kept her 3 days plus a week regularly at my house and many additional weekends and overnights. She would go everywhere with me. She was even at a Pentagon show. It was like having my own dog before I had Teddy. After getting Teddy those two got along very well . Sadly she and her Mom moved to Kansas about 4 years ago but we still keep in touch. They just sent me the pic on the right of her today. She is very healthy and doing well.
