In my time as a volunteer with ARATT I have witnessed the best of humans show kindness, patience, and love to the animals in our care. We take on many challenges as some animals come to us as surrenders from owners who have had a major life event, others that were strays and also some who have been rescued from horrible environments. Volunteers support various areas of the organization: daily crate/kennel clean up and animal feedings, walking, fostering, socializing, onsite vet care, off site vet care. There are many behind the scenes roles that include building partnerships in the community and nationwide, finding placements, scheduling transports, completing transports, creating communications (like this one) and the list goes on. Overall, while we have many who volunteer we are also always looking for people who have the availability to commit to various tasks. Iām so happy to volunteer and also have been on the other side in a past full time role as a volunteer manager. Good news is, we understand every volunteer is sharing their time as many of us are busy with our own families, pets, work, retirement and more. Volunteering with ARATT is based on each volunteerās availability. Speaking from my experience alone, my availability has changed since I first started in February and Iām happy that Iām able to swing by to help with tasks such as todayās early morning transport of dogs and puppies who are onto their next step towards finding a forever home. If you are interested in learning more about the volunteer opportunities with ARATT please reach out to us via this post. We are based in #animalrescue #adoptdontshop #rescuedog #rescue #cat #rescuecat #Tennessee #volunteer #volunteers and serve Marshall Co Tennessee and welcome the conversation around volunteering any time.
Our organization was notified that one of our very own was adopted recently which warms all of our hearts for sweet Fanny girl. Big congratulations to her new forever family & major thanks to everyone at ARATT, her foster families, and the group who adopted her out as a part of our partnership with them! It truly takes a village of amazing humans to care for these animals. This is not only on site but those who donate to our group for that on site support and vet expenses, but also in the fosters and partnerships we maintain strong connections with daily. š¾š©·Happy Tails Fanny Girl! #animal #rescue #animalrescue #rescuedog #dogs #adoptdontshop #donate #thank #you #thankyou #fyp #foster
This is the final weekend for the fabulous Animal Rescue Assistance Team Tennessee BENEFIT at Beall's in the Tractor Supply Mall in Lewisburg, Tennessee!!
We are the only shelter FOR CATS AND DOGS TOGETHER who - without government funding, no paid staff/completely volunteer run, has no official brick and mortar building - caters exclusively to Marshall County Tennessee only!!! There is a good city shelter for stray dogs and a nice rescue with a shelter for cats that caters to several counties. But serving Marshall only and both cats and dogs, makes us a unique to this community group, so we appreciate when local businesses step up like this! We are solely dependent on donations and a few small grants throughout the year.
Please stop in and thank Beall's for this gracious and generous gesture to help the companion pets in this county and your community - through Animal Rescue Assistance Team Tennessee.

This video is some of our fabulous volunteers setting up "Summer Vacation cabin" spots for our temporary resident canines while they await their placement and transport!
If you need help with Spay and Neuter, owner surrendered pets, food for your companion pets, help keeping your pet, we are just a phone call away from helping as much as we possibly can.
Thank you for your continued support!
Our yard sale will be closing up for the day due to weather. Hopefully we will open back up in the morning. We've got everything all plastic sheeted and still at it
Our Garage Sale is on! Come to 1990 Farmington Road in Lewisburg, Tennessee and see all the good things we have. As long as the weather holds out we will be here! If it starts raining we'll close down and we will open back up when it's sunny again on Saturday.
And, Sunday will be half off day!!
Another area reno is starting. Little bites at a time. Play yard and digger proof kennels are next!
This is to thank all the volunteers that show up for these guys every day and on these special day when there is a lot of extra work to be done. You all are amazing and the gratitude of these precious companion pets in need - and ARATT's, knows no bounds! #grateful
Watch for our next few posts as we continue to thank everyone for all of their help!

We got these two beauties and we named them Sonny and Cher because of their elegance and goofiness, all at the same time. We have vaccinated, fixed, wormed, chipped, and got everything that they need so they're ready to move on! It is their time!!
You all have helped us so much with our pets in need lately, I am turning to you for help marketing these poor babies that were dumped on the side of a road. A Good Samaritan found them, and then got them over to us so that we could find safe placement.
We are looking for a Rescue or any stellar group that does adoptions, Foster, they can even be available for adoptions through a local rescue, if you are approved!
Meet Sonny and Cher. They are about 6 months old, the male is a little smaller than the female and they are not kept together/not bonded. They weigh about 40 pounds and are both fully vetted.
Please share and now that they are all fixed and good to go, let's get these guys moved into a home environment before they add another month onto their life.
Somebody has to know somebody, who is really wanting this breed. They have beautiful coloring, and their coats are stunning!
Forgive the videography, but this is the kind of stuff our group, and others do, when we are called to help. I thought it would be fun to share it all with you. These guys are now safely delivered to the awesome Big Fluffy Dog Rescue, who said YES.
It takes a Village... An Army.. whatever you want to call it.
Huge shout out to Lauren Whittle, Realtor for army crawling under the shed to dig these babies out - using her hands and a fishing net to get to them to save them from the cold snap coming, Teri Culver for assisting her, my husband - Cecil Cox for being present to help us as needed. Then...Shelley and Jimmy Lawrence for doing a kitty run for us, Bernadette Selph and Shelley Lawrence for taking care of the dogs in holding, Barbara Ryan for picking up and dropping off dogs at the vet - all so we could go help these guys. What an amazing crew we have. šµš¶ This is how we do it!! Day after day. Week after week. Month after month and year after year!

One of our fearless leaders taking a load of unwanted pets - kitties this time - from Marshall County, TN to their second chance, out of state.
This is the final trip of the year for Animal Rescue Assistance Team Tennessee.
Thank you to all of our volunteers and supporters. Without you ALL, we could not have helped 1400-1500 pets this year by moving them to a better area and with Spay and Neuter.
Bless every one of you for caring for these animals enough to take action. Your donations are the oil for the wheels of this organization. Because of YOU, our ALL VOLUNTEER feet on the ground workers have helped thousands and thousands of homeless pets since 2010. We are looking forward to this coming year to help more than ever before, because there ARE more than ever before in need!!
So, Stay tuned for 2024! We have determined and dedicated volunteers who KNOW this will be the year we take action on a better way of doing this! šššš¤ š»š¶
Thank you to one of our local patrons for the gracious end of the year donation.
Without the generous support of the animal lovers of this community we could not do what we do.
Thank you so very much @Southern Carton Company!
Every dog and kitty got treats and extra attention for Thanksgiving.
One of the volunteers got this little video! Don't you just love this?
We want to thank everyone for continuing to support our efforts to make sure we can help as many cats and dogs in need in Marshall County, Tennessee as humanly possible. Without YOUR support we could not do the numbers we do!
If you would like to donate to the effort, please hit the donate button. And THANK YOU ALL SO VERY MUCH!!
Happy Thanksgiving to all!

We are all so proud of him and his big love for dogs.
Dogs My Favorite Household Pet
By Jax King - 4th grade.
What wears a coat year round? A dog! Wanna hear something you probably didn't know a dog has three eyelids. The third is called the "haw" like yee-haw. It
protects the eye from getting hurt. It isn't like the eye lid that we know that moves up and down. The haw moves side to side.
Dogs nose print is unique just like our finger print Dogs noses have 300 million receptors while we only have 5 million. That makes sense why my dogs always
come around whenever anyone has
food.
Dogs are my favorite household animal. Forbes say that 65 million households in the United States have dogs but only 46 million have cats. Does that mean
that dogs are better than cats? I think so! Dogs will love you and cuddle you but cats will run away and hide.
In conclusion, now we all know a few facts about dogs
You may want a dog of your very own but remember that most dogs live up to 13 years and that's a big commitment.
Finally always remember to spay and
neuter your pets.

Excitement is building!! The Bow Wow Dash that benefits Animal Rescue Assistance Team Tennessee is about to begin!
āØ Gucciās Days Out āØ Our handsome boy, Mr. Chunk of Luv, was fortunate to have a significant kennel break with an AMAZING foster! Heās a real lover boy, who just wants to be with his person. Some things we learned about Gucci should help you know more about him if you are interested in fostering/fostering to adopt. ā¢ loves his toys ā¢ couch potato after he gets his energy outā¢ wants to feel secureā¢ loves to go on long walks šā¢ cuddle bug ā¢ excellent leash, and table mannersā¢ would do well in a home by himself where he doesnāt have to share toys, or his person, or with one other dog who doesnāt mind Gucci being first in line. Look at these sweet faces! They need your love, care, and attention more than ever right now. WE NEED VOLUNTEERS during one of our busiest seasons yet! Itās hard for the few of us with āboots on the groundā to keep up with the care of the cats, and dogs, especially since we are virtually full. Please consider being a foster, or giving your time to help us care for these sweethearts. Please call or text 931-422-8590 for more information pertaining to volunteering or fostering.
