This is what happens when you have a dedicated temporary foster of a dog with no home. She goes on vacation, he goes on vacation. :) He went from an unadoptable dog with kennel angst - whose outlook was bleak, to a fella who gets worked with and best of all, LOVED LIKE HER OWN whenever this gal has the time to spend any time with him.

As you can see, angst no more. :)

He is a dog who has been looking for placement for many years with us. Could this be a time we have a foster fail, you ask? With her current work schedule she is unable to adopt, but what a blessing she has been in this dog's world, and ARATT's.. An angel just walks in, makes a plan, takes action, changes a world and blows our minds!!!

Have too much fun on your family vacation, Gucci!!

Author UNKNOWN, but we are so busy trying to keep the chaos and confusion of knowing what to do next, and holding as many/moving as many as possible - as quickly as possible, because of this.

When you get a pet the goal is to keep them a lifetime. They become your responsibility. Don't get a pet and not take care of them or get rid of them when it is no longer convenient. We know there are circumstances and times where absolutely, it is necessary. Be sure it is a need and not a convenience when you have to surrender them to a reputable group.

As we settle all the new guests in from one property today, we want to send a huge thank you to David Evans and Nashville Pet Products for the continued support of Animal Rescue Assistance Team Tennessee with your gracious and generous donation of cat and kitten food! It is one less thing we have to worry about when we have so many come in at one time. Thirteen felines today and ten canines yesterday.

When you stop in and shop for all of your pet's needs, let them know how much you appreciate what they do for us!

These pictures are from today.
Shelley Lawrence one of our fearless leaders getting all the kitties settled in today. We filled up every empty cat cage in the ARATT Catty Shack today. No more living outside for these socialized kittens and adults. They're a little confused now, but all have had their vetting started and they are settling into having nice soft beds, an abundance of food, water, toys, and of course you know they have to love the air conditioning!

We are DROWNING in cats and kittens. Our holding building is full, our fosters are full and we have 30, yes 30 šŸ˜© waiting to come into our program to get them safe, vetted, off the streets and under our care. This number includes a mama with 4 newborn kittens, a mama with 7 kittens that are 4 weeks old, and 17 cats/kittens from one property (pictured below are some of these cats) where a couple of stray cats turned into 17 cats šŸ«£

We are in DESPERATE need of fosters! It doesnā€™t take much. A spare room, a bathroom, a bathtub, etc. We will supply everything you need. Please help us.

If you canā€™t foster, please consider donating to our cause. We donā€™t do adoptions, so we have no way to recover costs for food, litter, vetting, medical care, etc.

We are broke, we are tired, we work 24/7, we are defeated but yetā€¦. We keep going because they NEED us. They didnā€™t ask to be the product of irresponsible humans. They are just trying to survive and we want to help them, so PLEASE donate, share, whatever you can do is appreciated.

You can hit the donate button below. Our PayPal is [email protected]

As always, thank you.

These pictured, are domesticated pets that were dumped to start and the people made sure all were friendly. They are all able to be placed in a home.

Please! Don't send your cats and dogs to NYC.

What is happening in the New York City pound system? Why is cat killing rising, and why are they killing more dogs despite taking in roughly 8,000 fewer animals than they did pre-pandemic?

They reduced the days they are open for adoption, reduced adoption hours, turn away potential adopters without appointments, have cumbersome procedures prohibiting families from visiting, require multiple visits before adoption, and refuse to return phone calls from people interested in adopting.

Yet, animals are the ones paying the ultimate price: https://bit.ly/3zyg7zc.
