Many of you have met Lucy. She practically has her own fan group. Lol

Lucy plays an important part for socialization, temperament testing, and to help build neutrality with dogs in training.

She has a wonderful, very tolerate personality that aids her in being the best socialization dog a trainer could ask for!

Marley
Board & Train

Marley has started her Unsupervised GPS Perimeter Training this week. This allows for unsupervised control, and freedom.

Creating more opportunities for exercise, and outdoor fulfillment.
She will be learning boundaries, and how to respawn to the boundaries when she reaches them.

Key Points About Marley’s Training:

Unsupervised GPS Perimeter Training:
-This allows Marley to enjoy more freedom and outdoor exploration while being safely contained within a designated area.
-The goal is to teach her to respond appropriately to the boundaries, helping her understand where she can safely go and where she must turn back.

Importance of Conditioning:
-It's essential for Marley to be conditioned to respond correctly when she approaches the perimeter.

Avoiding Negative Behaviors:
-If the correction is given without clear direction or understanding, it could lead to fear-based behaviors like bolting, running through the boundary to escape the discomfort, or walking anxiously in response to the collar’s signals.

-Positive Learning Environment: The training needs to ensure that Marley isn't scared or confused, as those responses can undermine her confidence and make the system unreliable.

Safety & Reliability:
-Since Marley lives next to a busy road, the containment system needs to be highly reliable.
-The program emphasizes ongoing monitoring to ensure Marley’s safety, both during her training and after she returns home.

Ongoing Monitoring:
-After the training is complete, I will continue to monitor Marley’s progress through an online tracking system. This includes:

Tracking Corrections:
- Whenever Marley gets a tone, vibration, or correction, the owners and I will receive detailed data about her location and response. This allows for fine-tuning if needed.

Activity & Location Monitoring:
-The system will also track her daily steps, activity levels, provide feedback on her location throughout the day, progress, all of this helping to ensure continued safety and reliability.

Long-Term Follow-Up:
-The use of online tracking allows for ongoing communication and monitoring after the program ends, providing reassurance to Marley’s owners that she’s responding well and staying safe.

24/7 Troubleshooting, and Support:
-By focusing on consistency, clarity in correction, and a well-monitored training plan, the goal is to ensure that Marley can navigate her boundary with confidence, creating more fulfillment while keeping her secure/safe while near the busy road.

Today's Animal All-Star is Buster! As many of you know, he is our deaf pit bull who has been living and training with Gaige at Desired K-9 - Dog Training. He has come such a long way and continues to improve daily! Buster has been exposed to many new dogs and new people, and befriends each and every one. If you & your dog have been through placeboard training. You understand how great this command can be.

Outside of leash pulling, and recall. Placeboard is hands down one of the best skills your dog can learn. I consider it a foundational skill all dogs should learn!

When your dog struggles with over stimulation a solid on/off leash obedience program can do wonders for a dogs mindset. Helping them handle new stimulating environments like Lowes.

Aussies can come in so many sizes, colors, and temperaments. This young girl is sweet as can be!

I continue to be thankful for making a living training dogs I truly enjoy to be around! There is nothing like teaching, and developing these young dogs into the best they can be!

He has been exposed to 40+ dogs, and over 1000 people over the last month!

Roxie has been in Basic On/Off leash training over the last month or so. She is a sweet, submissive, loveable young dog. She also has a little wild, rambunctious side!

She has grown on me alot as I continue to work with her.

Still work to do but I'm excited to finish her up, and continuing to develop her training as she matures in a adult dog.

She is blessed with great, extremely motivated owners! Excited to see her at some group classes!

Lovin on Buster. His manors when he is excited or overly stimulated are improving every week. At first he would be jumping, and play biting. Very playful but way to rough. Much much better!

"Buster" & "Lucy" If you & your dog have been through my training program in 2023-2024 you would have met Lucy when we start doing temperment testing, socialization & control. Buster has been out with Lucy over the last week or so. Sharing a kennel, and just being best buddies. He has a very sweet tempermeant, especially with female dogs. Buster will continue to be out at all my private sessions. Getting exposed to 10-15 new dogs over this month! P.S- Bonus clip of him sleeping & snoring. I have had to physically wake him up multiple times for breaks after a long day of spending time with all these dogs. Sleepy boy!

"Buster" DEAF-Pitbull. Available for adoption. Buster has started to go everywhere and anywhere with me. We have spent many hours together in public places like: Lowes, Walmart, Soccer games, Parks, Greenbrier River Trail, etc! He is capable of a high level of obedience! Buster is going to start some ESA (Emotional Support Animal) work over the next few weeks. Buster DEAF-Pitbull Available for Adoption! Buster is finishing up his third week of Basic Obedience training, and he’s been a joy to work with! Here’s what he’s been learning so far: -Sit -Down -Recall -Leash Walking (Minimal Leash Pulling) -Crate Training -Potty Training -Vehicle Manners -Off-Leash Control -Place-Board Temperament Testing: Interacting with dogs of various levels of temperament, prey animals like chickens, and children. Being a non-hearing dog it's important that he learns to pay attention to whoever is working him. Not only for safety but so he can have a more fulfilling lifestyle. Deaf-Pitbull Buster continues to impress me with his wonderful temperment passing: big dogs, little dogs, cats, prey animals (chickens), strangers, kids, etc. Temperment testing also includes obedience work around out of control dogs, like these two little ones that he may encounter in public. These two little ones earn there keep buy barking, and being a good distraction. Not only does Buster ignore them, but he recalls through continuous vibration like we have been practicing! Vibrate=Recall plus Treats, Praise, Love & Affection.

Belgian Malinois favorite toy. Human arms. Remember the dog determines the value of the reward. So use the treats & toys your dogs values the most. P.S-Anybody know where I can get more human arms? Lol
