It came to my attention recently that there is an individual saying he’s worked with me, when we have never met in person. To make things worse, this individual has taken advantage of people and essentially stolen their money.

To be clear, other trainers I know personally and actively work with include:
Golden Sky Canine Academy LLC
Happy Tails Dog Training LLC
Onpoint K9 Academy
Jump Dog Jump Dock Diving Training

I also actively mentor Taylor Borders who works at happy hounds.

There are lots of other great trainers both locally and in a larger radius that I know of and would be happy to refer people to. Even if you don’t go with me, I will always give you my honest opinion.

Dog training is not all about the money for me, if it was I’d take advantage of one of these stupid ads claiming they make 7 figures doing dog training every year. Dogs have always been the focal point of my life and through them I have learned how to make genuine connections with people as well.

Stay safe out there and don’t get taken advantage of!!

Mia wandered off from our house on new hope church road in lewisburg today. This is uncharacteristic of her, she does like to play in the fields but typically comes back when called.

Mia is very friendly with people and dogs! She will not hurt you or your livestock!!

In the past few years I’ve done a lot of self reflection, growing, learning about accountability, watching a lot of cyber bullying happen.

If I ever talked poorly about you with anyone, just know I am so sorry, and that isn’t a reflection of who I am anymore. I used to think gossip helped me form relationships with people and the older I get the more childish I see that was.

Dogs and dog training has helped me form genuine meaningful connections with people, and I am ALWAYS rooting for everyone, regardless of what other people think of them. I genuinely want everyone to do their best. If you try to talk poorly about someone with me, know that you’re making me extremely uncomfortable, I no longer have any interest in putting people down ever. 

When we hear rumors online, please keep in mind that you’re only hearing one side of the story, reality can often be skewed or the truth twisted on purpose or just from another persons perspective on the matter at hand. There is another LIVING breathing person on the other side of the screen and todays cancel culture can really affect them in real life.

I am always continuing to learn and grow and hope that the people surrounding me do the same.

Moonshine got her second vaccines today and did absolutely fabulous at the vet per usual❤️ She just loves all the attention she gets when we go in! She would be a perfect family companion or even a great confirmation prospect! Still available❤️

On the busiest weekend I’ve had since I opened I just wanted to take a moment to thank all my clients! When I first started I was so full of self doubt and the community here has helped me not only survive but also thrive.

I hope to bring big improvements to my kennel this year in the form of finishing off the other half. I have already purchased most of the materials, the last part that is needed is the most expensive but I’m almost there!

Next year I hope to upgrade the fencing to be much more sturdy and safe for small and escape artist dogs. In the future I would like to upgrade the kennels, but I have no timeline for this!

Again, none of this would be possible without the support from the community. Thank you all so much for trusting me with your pets so that I can do this for a living!

Let's talk about this photo. It's cute, except it's not. I see a dog who cannot get up without telling the child to get off. How do you think a dog is going to do that?

The 7 Golden Toddler Dog Rules:
#1: If a dog walks away from you, you DO NOT FOLLOW.
#2: Always leave room for the dog to walk away from you.
---that right there is 90+% of dog bites eliminated---
#3: We do not climb on the dog.
#4: We do not grab or pull on the dog.
#5: We do not hit or throw anything at the dog.
#6: We do not touch the dog's food.
#7: We do not go into the dog's kennel.

I promise these are not overly difficult concepts for littles, nor will they rob a kid of their bond with the family dog. It will deepen that bond, while keeping everyone safe.

"Oh, it looks like Moose is walking away from you. She is saying she wants a break. Let's play with this instead!"

"It's Moose's dinner time! Let's give her space to enjoy her yummies."

"That is Moose's room(kennel) and only she is allowed to go in there."

"If Moose wanted a break, could she walk away from you right now? No she really couldn't. Let's move away from the play house. You can keep playing but now she can leave when she wants a break."

In conclusion, ***parent your child or your dog will do it for you, and you will not like how they do it.***

Lefty is still looking for his right fit!

He is super sweet, good with kids and other dogs, very friendly once he warms up to you. He tends to be “aloof” for the first week or so but once he gets to know you he wants all the cuddles!

Lefty is available through Logan County Animal Care and Control and his adoption fee is paid for!
