Adoption 826 - Drew
when Sydney of Williamsport came to the café this past weekend she met Drew on Saturday and was instantly drawn to him. She came back again on Sunday just to be sure and he continued to pull at her heartstrings. Today she came in with a carrier to bring him home , and he gave her some love and crawled right in and waited while we did the paperwork. It’s as if he was saying, “ I knew she would come back for me.” And she did! Welcome home sweet Drew, and happy tales.

Meet our residents- Dash
A couple months ago, several of us spent a fair bit of time trying to coax a tiny kitten out of the dashboard of a Subaru- and now she's livin' it up at the cafe with her siblings from another momma, Gale, Briar, Drew, Fan and Ash. Dash is the whole package- she's cute as a button, affectionate, and fun. She's on the poofy side with incredibly soft fur, and is likely going to be a good sized kitto. She thinks the wand toy is great fun, and doesn't seem to have an ounce of fear in her now. Dash is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped, and is unlikely to be at the cafe long- in fact, she already has some potentially interested new families. And while you can take my word for it on her personality, we don't recommend it- I am not to be trusted. Just kidding! (mostly.) We just feel strongly that people need to meet their potential forever feline friend before considering adoption. It's not a decision to make on looks alone, even when the kitto looks like Dash!

Meet our residents- Cassidy
Cassidy is another mom hoping to find her forever before her kittens find their way to the cafe! She's got plenty of youthful kitten-like energy in her own right, and finds the wand toy to be lots of fun. She also very much enjoys attention, which you won't mind providing since her coat is so, so silky soft. She is adjusting well to the cafe, and will likely do OK with feline friends with a proper (slow) introduction. She comes to us from a local property where she was living outside with a number of other cats, and was lucky to find her way to use with her tiny kittos in tow. Cassidy is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped, and she tested FeLV/FIV negative.

Yuthikaa from Edison New Jersey moved to Lewisburg because she heard we have an awesome cat Cafe. OK actually she moved here as a graduate student but nonetheless, she met and fell in love with Maeve and now has the world’s best study partner! Welcome home Maeve and be sure to help your human get straight A’s!

Adoption 824 - Cleo
See that beautiful orange lump in the window? Well that’s where Cleo prefers to spend her time and every visitor that walked by got to see her sweet spirit. No doubt she caught the eye of Alex from Connecticut (a Bucknell student) who had to claim Cleo as her own. Welcome home Cleo, and happy tails.

Adoption 823 - Archer
Oh how we are going to miss this mischievous toddler that has been giving us so much joy at the café. But it’s Archer’s turn to join an active family where he will have a sibling toddler kitty to play with. He’s joining Erika, Jack and Lincoln from Mechanicsburg who visited him last week and fell in love. Welcome home, buddy and happy tails.

Meet our residents- Oopsie
This once shy, unsure soul is now Queen of the castle. Oopsie spent her initial time with us hiding- in a ceiling (not kidding), under blankets... you name it, this girl is a hide and seek champ. After losing her loving home through no fault of her own, she had every right to be nervous. After taking some time to adjust, Oopsie now knows that this is the good life and is ready to enjoy it. She'll do best in a quieter home willing to be patient with her, but once comfortable they'll enjoy a sweet, goofy, loving cat. Oopsie is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped, and she tested FeLV/FIV negative. We're open 12-5 Thursday thought Saturday and we'd love to have lots of visitors this weekend!

Meet our residents- Drew
Need an energetic house panther? We've got two! Drew and his brother, Fen, are new to the cafe and already well adjusted. Drew is the smaller of the two, but he seems to pack more s***k into a smaller frame (Fen's a smidge larger but has a bit more chill). Can I 100% promise that there are all pictures of Drew? Um. No. They are equally cute, though! Drew LOVES the wand and has loads of energy. He is already getting along well with his new friends (Archer is SO happy!) There are more of them yet to come (apparently their mom Meave only prints in black/white), so if it's a girl house panther you need let us know. Drew is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, and test FeLV/FIV negative. We're open 12-5 today, Sunday, 8/25, if you just can't wait to meet them. It is a beautiful day for a stroll downtown with a stop to visit some fabulous felines!

Meet our residents- Oreo
Oreos come in all flavors and varieties now, so sure, a brown tabby can be named Oreo! This one is full of s***k and loads of fun. Oreo is sweet girl who loves attention almost as much as she loves a can of cat food. She's a sucker for a spring toy, and she gets along well with other cats. Oreo has a minor limp due to an old hip injury, but gets around just fine. We're not sure what caused the injury, but it's clearly not new, so she's not an ideal candidate for surgical repair. Oreo is also spayed, vaccinated and microchipped, and she tested FeLV/FIV negative. We're open 12-5 Thursday though Sunday- come on over to check this girl out!

PS- What flavor would this Oreo be?

Adoption 819-820 Nessie and Eliza
These two beautiful girls are double trouble but double the cuddles as well. When Helen from Lewisburg came in, she was looking for a young black kitty and chose Nessie. Today when she came for the adoption, she saw that the two were inseparable and Eliza crawled up on her and gave her love too. She realized she couldn’t separate them. so now she is the proud owner of these two sweet babies. Welcome home girls and happy tails.

Meet our residents- Cleo
A less common orange lady, Cleo truly embodies all the best qualities of a ginger kitty. She's goofy and sweet in the most endearing ways, and just so, so eager for love and attention. She has a playful streak, and enjoys both sparkle wand and springy toy alike. That said, she'd be pretty thrilled to snuggle up next to you on the couch. It has taken her some time to adjust to living in a new space, so she will need some patience and understanding, but that'll happen when your world gets flipped through no fault of your own. Cleo comes from the same situation as Tucker, Twilight and others, and we have to say their "mom" raised some pretty wonderful cats (and we hope she's well!). Cleo is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped, and she tested FeLV/FIV negative. She's estimated to perhaps be about six years old, but that's a guesstimate not a certainty. We'll be open 12-5 Thursday through Sunday, and Cleo will hopefully be even more ready to make new friends by then.

Meet our residents- Nessie
Loch Ness nothing, this one is definitely real and certainly no monster. Like her sister Eliza, Nessie is as sweet as they come, and eager to be involved in whatever you have going on. They were raised from bottle babies and then in an active foster home, so they're used to lots of human attention and are thrilled to have it! Nessie will need an active home with a furry friend or two to keep her engaged, or humans committed to keeping her entertained (ideally both, really). She will reward your efforts with snuggles and purrs, and will appreciate your petting her soft, sleek black coat. Nessie is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped, and tested FeLV/FIV negative. We're open 12-5 today, and then you'll have to wait until Thursday if you want to try to catch a Nessie sighting at the cafe!

Meet our residents- Eliza
Eliza and her siblings started their time with us as bottle babies, but have quickly grown from mini-nuggets to fun-sized kittos. As you would expect, Eliza is fun, energetic and sweet, and she gets along well with other cats (including her sister, Nessie). Like nearly all kittens, she'll do best in an active household where she can burn through some energy. A furry friend or two is definitely ideal, be it her sister or another friend. Eliza is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped, and she tested FeLV/FIV negative. We're open 12-5 Thursday through Sunday and she'll be looking forward to seeing you!

Adoption 818 - Bug
This sweet boy came back for his second chance at the café, after being returned once due to not getting along with his sibling. But Bug is the sweetest cat you would ever meet and we knew he just needed a warm lap to cuddle up to. Paul and Janet from Lewisburg came in to adopt and happen to have the perfect laps for bug to land. Now his days will be filled with treats and chirps and fun and we couldn’t be happier. What a privilege it’s been to be part of your rescue story Bug. Go do great things and happy tails!

We had a few messages wondering about the star of last night's raffle drawing video. Li'l Petey Marmalade is one of the 80+ cats currently with Cherished Cats Rescue Alliance fosters. He's about 10 weeks old and turned up alone in Lewisburg a few weeks ago clearly not in the best shape. We've been working closely with the wonderful people at Susquehanna Trail Animal Hospital to figure out what he needs. He's had some fluids and B12, as well as various testing, but the jury's still out. We will be pursuing additional testing soon and will hopefully get him on the right track. In the meantime he's happy, eating well, and playful, and just the sweetest boy. We hope he'll be a cafe resident eventually, although I'm not promising this one won't be a foster fail (and now I'm hoping my husband isn't reading this 😹🤫). If you want to help cover the cost of Petey's future testing, which will range anywhere from a few hundred dollars to closer to $1,000, please consider joining the Nine Miles for Nine Lives challenge (t-shirt deadline is now pushed to 11PM tonight), or make a donation to Petey's donation page there (he's a participant!): https://runsignup.com/Race/PA/Lewisburg/NineMilesforNineLives

You've procrastinated. You've sent yourself a text as a reminder. OK, two. Written it on your hand. Left the tab open in your sea of tabs. (these are things other people do too, yes?)

But it's go time now- muster whatever memory power and "just do it" energy you have, and get registered for the Nine Miles for Nine Lives challenge today: https://runsignup.com/Race/PA/Lewisburg/NineMilesforNineLives

After today we cannot guarantee you a t-shirt, and this year's shirt is awesome. You know you want one, so muster whatever executive function you can and do it now (you know you won't remember later. seriously, that's not just me, right? 🫣)

Meet our residents- Bunny
She may have a tattoo sleeve, but Bunny is every bit as soft around the edges as her soft, fluffy backside. Bunny lost her first home the same way Twilight and Tucker did- through no fault of their home. She's used to living around other cats, and has mostly been OK with making new friends. She brings a nice balance of playfulness and snuggliness (that's a word). Bunny is guesstimated to be around six years young, and is of course spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. She tested FeLV/FIV negative. We're open 12-5 Thursday through Friday, so you'll have to wait until then to come meet this sweetheart. 🐰

Adoption 817 - Corabell
Alison from New Columbia decided that a rambunctious juvenile named Corabell was the one for her. After all, sleep is overrated. But don’t worry, there are four others from the litter where she came from. And they are all spectacular. Welcome home Corabell and happy tales.

You want a high five from Tucker? All you need to do is ask nicely (and ideally have some treats. mostly the treats.😹). Or you could join the Nine Miles for Nine Live challenge- we're pretty sure he'll give a high five for that, too. But still, mostly for treats. 🔗⤵

Meet our residents- Twilight
If good things come to those who wait, then Twilight is a real score. She has slowly but surely been making herself comfortable at the cafe over the course of the last month or so, and is finally beginning to seem happy in her new surroundings. Twilight came to us through no fault of her own- her former owner was unexpectedly forced to move out of state and sadly bringing her beloved cats was not an option. While Twilight is used to living with other cats, she has been slow to make new friends at the cafe- although she clearly recognizes those she knows from her former life, like Tucker. She absolutely loves attention from people, and thinks the sparkle wand is fun, as long as one of the little whipper snappers doesn't try to join in. She'll do best in a quieter home with patient humans who will give her time to adjust. Twilight is, of course, spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped, and she tested FeLV/FIV negative. We're open 12-5 Thursday through Sunday, and if you don't see Twilight out and about you can likely find her relaxing in the back hallway, which she has made her own.
