Theo and Rolly are still looking for their forever homes. These two boys were born at the end of August, beat parvo, and are two of the sweetest you’ll meet. Both do great with other dogs, potty training, and are full of personality. They’re believed to be and lab mixes with wonderful temperaments.

From Theo’s Foster: “Theo is a very happy and playful puppy. He love, love, loves his foster brother, and he is only now taking an interest in wanting to play with my adult cat. If he gets too interested, a quick kitty bop on the nose corrects him. Theo is right on track with potty training, with only a few accidents, especially if I'm away from home longer than expected. Theo loves to run and play outside, but he also enjoys cuddling on your lap too! He will make a great family pet, especially if there's another dog to play with.”

This is our favorite Christmas giving program. We love working with them and they need people to “adopt” some of their very special recipients. Please go check out Christmas is Joy 🎄

Christmas is Joy is something we have been a part of for almost 15 years. Many of the people we and others serve can go without a Christmas due to a full spectrum of reasons. We encourage you to take a look and see if it is something that strikes you like a snowball of Christmas spirit. We can also take corporate sponsors or cash donations to help us complete our list. Check out the page by hitting that highlighted portion and find Joy by bringing Christmas Joy to others. ♥️🎄🎅🏽

Remember Duchess from last Sunday’s rescue? https://www.facebook.com/share/p/19Ve2ay29G/

It looks like Duchess is coming up for adoption at Lewis Clark Animal Shelter … her owner never came for her despite us reaching out and speaking with her. Duchess is a dog we have worked with since she was a baby last winter. We got her spayed in September via our partnership with WSU College of Veterinary Medicine. She is a Siberian Husky/GSD mix and a truly wonderful girl. She will be a fantastic addition to someone’s family. She’s not cat friendly but adores kids. She’s good with most other dogs. Obviously with her breeds, she’ll need a family that can provide daily enrichment and activity.

Please, consider adopting this sweet girl. She’s had a rough start and deserves the very best life has to offer. Contact LCAS directly for more information on adopting her.

Our pack of littles that were found dumped in a box yesterday are thriving with their fosters. We can’t thank you all enough for such a swift response to our request for help. A couple of the puppies got to meet Dr. Cherish last night and she also thinks they’re about 4-5 weeks old. Everyone is seemingly healthy and well-socialized. No health concerns at this point.

We have had several inquiries about adopting them. They’re too young to go up for adoption. We generally don’t release puppies until they’re at least 8-weeks-old, started on vaccinations, and healthy. So these guys will remain in foster for a few weeks. We have 3 boys and two girls. Our 3rd girl is placed with a rescue partner. We promise to provide updates and photos of their time in foster.

We are NOT accepting early applications or “holding” puppies for anyone. We will let everyone know when they are available.

We have no idea on breeds but we have ordered a DNA kit. However, for the most accurate results they say not to do the swab until their puppy is 8-weeks-old. So it’ll be awhile before we have those answers.

If you’d like to help out this litter, we could use a few items:

🧸 Small breed puppy toys
🐶 Purina ProPlan Small Breed Puppy food (wet and dry)
🐶 Waterproof pet blankets from Costco
🐶 Freeze dried beef liver treats (easy to break up)
🐶 Potty pads

Please please pleasssse do not use space heaters to keep outdoor pets warm. While intentions are good, it’s incredibly unsafe. Bring them indoors at night if it’s that cold. 🥶

LAPWAI, Idaho - A dog narrowly escaped a fire inside a doghouse due to a space heater catching it on fire.

Do you enjoy turkeys 🦃 with ‘tude? or goofy goats 🐐? Mini donkeys 🫏 with big personalities? Trena's Tiny Farm is one of our valley’s hidden gems. Trena offers her cast of critters for parties, pictures, and more. She also offers eggs 🥚 and garden plants 🌱 depending on the season.

Trena’s Tiny Farm sits directly behind our rescue in the Lewiston Orchards and we love it! Her animals are all characters. She’s also compassionate to the wildlife that tends to visit our neighborhood. Trena has helped us out a few times with some rescues and her 4H group has also lent us a hand as well.

Support this adorable little farm and give her page a follow. She’s pretty amazing.

You guys came through for us yesterday on the 6 puppies we took in that were dumped. Lewis Clark Animal Shelter now is in need to help some other puppies that were dumped yesterday. Please, consider fostering with them. To say that fostering saves lives is an understatement.

In the midst of our puppy drama, these amazing guys from PAWS dropped off some much-needed dog houses they built. We are extremely grateful and know that the dogs who get these will be even more grateful! Go follow their page and check out the other incredible work they’re doing for rescue dogs in 🐾

PAWS trainers built 4 doghouse’s for Idaho Animal Rescue Network in Lewiston. We hope to provide some warmth and shelter to dogs this winter. This was a great community service project for the guys.

Update: We have fosters lined up! You guys are amazing! We are still open to a rescue taking them.

We have a suspect on who may have dumped them but nothing is certain. If anyone has information on who dumped them to confirm our suspicions, message us! We can keep you anonymous. They were dumped in park in Lapwai in a box. Fortunately, they seem healthy. Great appetites (they’re eating wet food).

🚨URGENT🚨 Need rescue or fosters for 6 very young (4-5 weeks old) small mix breed puppies that were dumped in a box 🤬 We prefer they go in pairs or 2-3 per foster for socialization reasons. We provide all of the food, supplies, etc. If you are interested in fostering go to foster.IdahoRescue.org and apply. If you are a rescue with availability, please email or message us.

Some people have asked about the Momma to the parvo puppies. Many were concerned after she was first spotted on that road with her puppies a few weeks ago. We did ensure that we provided food for her and the other dogs that remained at the property until we were able to bring her into care.

We are happy to report that Tinky was surrendered and is safe in our care as of a few days ago. Today, this sweet girl heads up to WSU College of Veterinary Medicine to get spayed.

Tinky is a complete love bug. We think she’s a lab/Pyrenees mix around a year old. She loves all of the snuggles. She is great with kids and is loving getting to be an inside dog. She is good with other dogs. She’s happy to leave outdoor living behind.

During her vet exam yesterday for her health certificate, she was fantastic. She handled her vaccines, blood draw, and exam beautifully. No issues at all being touched and poked on.

Tinky is going to be a fabulous addition to someone’s family. We will keep you updated on when and where she will be available for adoption. 🐾

Idaho Animal Rescue Network Mission

Idaho Animal Rescue Network is a 501(c)(3) non-profit based in Idaho that works in Idaho and Eastern Washington to educate, advocate, and network with other rescues and law enforcement in Idaho regarding animal cruelty and neglect. We are a no-kill animal, all-volunteer rescue organization dedicated to ensuring that each animal that comes through our rescue is provided with a safe place to recover from their trauma. Each animal is provided with a loving, stable environment as they navigate the legal system. Every animal receives all necessary veterinary care in order to prepare them for their future furever home.

We place animals in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives.

We strive to work with area shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for animals.
