Our Rescue store is open from Saturdays from 9am to 5pm. You are welcome to visit the animals during that time, but adoptions are done by appointment only.

Did the ice keep you from getting to the rescue last Saturday? Well make plans to stop in this week! One of our volunteers will be here selling Girl Scout cookies from 10 to 12 this Saturday, January 18. Stock up on supplies, bring the furries in for nail trims, and get some goodies for yourself before the next cold front moves in! Rescue graduate Ranger and current foster Milo give the cookies a furry seal of approval 🍪 🐰 🐹

Hairless piggies say IT'S TOO DARN COLD OUTSIDE!!

Due to the recent ice and snow, coupled with the potential for the roads to re-freeze overnight, Texas Rustlers anticipates opening tomorrow at 10am. If we have to delay that opening, we'll post here.

We're still looking for a foster for these kitties! They were born outside and have been being socialized since they were first discovered by a kind neighbor. We've taken them in and cleaned up their eye infections, their respiratory infections, and their intestinal parasites. They are being spayed and neutered today, but they desperately need a foster home to take care of them until their forever homes are found. We cover their vet expenses, and provide food and litter, and in return you get to play with four adorable kittens. What a deal!

If you would be able to open your home to these precious kittens until they find a home through Texas Rustlers Fat Cats, we would appreciate it. Beth had her babies!! She had four: three that look to be either Texel or Teddy, and one that is a smooth-coated American. From left to right, we think they are girl, girl, boy, girl (but sexing itty bitty baby parts is difficult - we won't know for sure for another week or so).

As promised, we'll be having a drawing from our North Texas Giving Day donations of $50 or more to find out who will be naming these precious babies. Stay tuned!

Recently, Texas Rustlers stepped in to help an overwhelmed local city animal shelter with 20 guinea pigs. Every one of them arrived with parasites, infections, and dental problems—and several of the females were pregnant. They’ve since given birth to 8 adorable babies under our care! 🥰

These guinea pigs were in desperate need of medical attention and a safe place to thrive. Thanks to our team, they’re on the road to recovery, but the cost of treating so many animals is significant.

💚 Lord Randall was found running loose on a greenbelt, scared and alone. Thanks to some quick-thinking Good Samaritans, this little adventurer was brought safely to Texas Rustlers.

💔 Guinea pigs like Lord Randall don’t survive long outdoors, where they face predators, starvation, and harsh conditions. But now, he’s safe, warm, and thriving under our care. 🙌

🐰❤️ Not every animal that comes to Texas Rustlers is adoptable, but that doesn’t mean they’re any less deserving of love. Brownie, a tiny bunny who came to us via Carrollton West Pet Hospital, will live with lifelong dental problems that make him unadoptable. 😔

But thanks to our rescue, Brownie has found his forever home with a dedicated foster family. Texas Rustlers will cover all of his veterinary bills for life, ensuring that he gets the care he needs. 💚

🐇 A kind-hearted stranger found Angel abandoned in the wild, struggling to survive. She was brought to Texas Rustlers, where we discovered she had multiple infections and needed urgent care.

Sweet Aurora is an English Lop with an adventurous spirit. She was found wandering in a neighborhood & taken to a local animal control before finding her way to us.
