Aquatic exercise is a great way to keep@your dog strong and mobile as they age. It’s also a great way to expose younger dogs to water. We have clients with arthritis who no longer require pain medication. We have younger clients that have gained comfort in and around the water Nd have gone on to enjoy dock diving and other water activities. The dog wash is always open 7 days a week, 7:30 am to 10:00 pm, even on holidays. The dog wash is self-pay, self-serve, and does not require an appointment. Yappy Place aquatic treadmills and retail are closed today.

Happy 🇺🇸 Day!! We’re happy to announce that bandanas are now available at Yappy Place. They are made right here in Kentucky. They have an amazing fit! They go on and off amazingly easy, due to having elastic. We will share images of the other patterns in coming days!!

Looking for a grooming appointment? We have an unexpected opening for a small dog or a tidy trim (face/feet/sanitary) on Friday afternoon, 4/26.
Is your dog shedding like crazy with all this up and down weather? Deshedding is one of the grooming services we offer. Our groomers use a quality deshedding shampoo and deshedding conditioner to provide the best deshedding possible.
For grooming we take both small and large dogs, older dogs, and also groom doodles. All of our services include nail trims and ear cleaning. We have a range of services available, including bathing, tidy trims (face, feet, and under the tail), full grooming (all over trim), and deshedding. Pricing is based on the size of the dog, type of coat, and services wanted. Drop-in nails trims are available when our groomers are working. Our groomers have great experience and love working with dogs. Our groomers will also groom cats.

We haven’t specifically advertised weekend nail trims in a while. Now that we have full service groomers, drop in nail trims are available when the groomers are working. Typically they are available M/W/Th/F 9a-4pm, T 9a-3p, and every other Saturday 10a-3pm. If you want to schedule a time, we do that too. We have two different aquatic treadmills. They both provide the same exercise. We are happy to run simultaneous appointments if you want both your dogs to walk at the same time, or you and a friend want to have your dogs come at the same time.

Max is a graceful swimmer. The first appointment didn’t look like this, but he was a quick learner. He’s had several swimming appointments. We start him walking on the treadmill and keep filling the water until it’s high enough to swim. He then swims for between 3-5 minutes. We keep the treadmill going the whole time. After swimming, we lower the water until he’s touching the treadmill again and then he gets some additional exercise walking on the treadmill! It’s a great and efficient work out!
It’s always fun to see dogs in the aquatic treadmill appreciate encouragement from their humans!!
