🐾 Pomsky Training Tip of the Week: Teaching Your Pomsky Not to Jump 🐾

Jumping up can be a common issue among energetic dogs like Pomskies, especially when they're excited. While it’s often a sign of affection, teaching your Pomsky not to jump on people is important for safety and manners. Here’s how to gently teach your furry friend to keep all four paws on the ground:

Training Steps:
- Ignore the Jumping: Don’t give attention when your Pomsky jumps. Turn your back and ignore them until all four paws are on the ground.
- Reward Good Behavior: As soon as your Pomsky calms down and their paws stay on the floor, reward them with praise and treats.
- Use a Command: Teach a command like “sit” or “down” to use when you greet them. This gives your Pomsky a proper action to replace jumping.
- Practice Consistently: Regularly practice greetings at home with family members and friends who understand the training process. Consistency is key!

DIY Dog Ice Cream!!!! 🐾

Ingredients:

1 Ripe Banana 🍌
1/2 cup Peanut Butter (be sure to check for *Xylitol/Birch Sugar as it is extremely poisonous to dogs!!!!) 🥜
1 cup Plain Natural Yogurt
1 teaspoon Honey 🍯

Instructions:

1. Heat the peanut butter up in the microwave or on a stove until it is easy to stir.

2. Mash the ripe banana in a bowl.

3. Mix in the plain yogurt.

4. Add honey to the banana and yogurt mixture.

5. Stir peanut butter into the mixture until everything is well combined.

6. Pour the mixture into a freezer-safe container and place in the freezer.

7. Let it sit in the freezer for at least 6 hours to chill.
