We wanted to let all of our guests, clients, family, & friends that DDPC will be on indefinite hiatus for the foreseeable future. Our new home is not accommodating for more furry friends than our current crew.

We wanted to thank everyone who helped make DDPC more than a dream. It was amazing getting to spend almost every single day with your pups for the past two years and it's heartbreaking knowing we won't have any new friends for awhile.

However, the dream is not dead. DDPC will return in the future and when it does, it will be bigger and better than ever. Until then, thank you for helping make DDPC a reality and we'll be back before you know it!

We had two more special guests this past week when the Curtis Cousins came to visit! Margo and Amelia loved spending a weekend at double dog. They slept on the couch, played in the mud in the backyard, and Amelia even got to chase a rabbit!

We loved having these two goof balls over one more time and we're gonna miss they're cuddly butts. Thanks for visiting us ladies!

We want to give a huge thank you to our final DDPC guest of the season, Theo! Theo has been coming to us for over two years now and his most recent visit was his longest yet at a total of 25 days!

To clear up any confusion, we will no longer be operating in the Lexington and central Kentucky region. We've had so much fun watching all of your dogs for the past two and half years, but our pack is moving onto the next chapter in our lives.

We hope to reopen DDPC in the future once we've relocated so don't worry, there will still be plenty of cute pups blessing your social media feeds! A huge, huge thank you to everyone once again for supporting us and this little dream.

Yesterday we said goodbye to our daycare pups for the last time. We didn't get pictures of all of them this week, but we still wanted to thank all of our guests who made doggy daycare possible!

Our daycare pups gave us something to look forward to almost every weekday morning. We loved greeting them at the door and turning them loose in the backyard to go play with their friends.

We're gonna miss our daycare friends, but we know that if we reopen we'll have plenty of new friends! A huge thank you to Henley, Hank and Banks (all pictured) for joining us this week. And a extra special than you to Maple, Truly, Tulip, and Zoey who came to daycare (and didn't get their picture taken this week).

Big News: We're getting an upgrade!

DDPC has been growing like crazy over the past year and our lease is up once again. We've decided to expand the business to accommodate more pups and offer a better stay for all of them.

However, it's gonna be a little while before we're done. Because of this, we will no longer be accepting new clients and will be ceasing all operations in Lexington, KY at the end of April. We'll have a final date of service later this month. We're hoping to reopen sometime later this year, possibly before the end of summer.

A huge, huge thank you to everyone who has supported our little dream over the past two years. Caring for your dogs gave us not only a career, but a whole host of new friends to play and snuggle with. A day doesn't go by that we regret hanging out with all these wonderful pups and to say that we'll miss many of you is an understatement.

If you've visited DDPC over the past year or just dropped a pup off, you might have caught a little speckled beagle running around the compound. Tulip has been a consistent guest at double dog this entire time, visiting almost every week to play with all of her friends. She even stayed over a few nights; finding her favorite spot in the bed and burrowing under the covers before curling up into a little ball.

Tulip was always a blast to have around and we're all missing her dearly. Sunday was Tulip's last day at Double Dog. She always brought a big goofy smile to our faces and all of the pups at DDPC loved her to death.

We want to wish the best of luck to Tulip and her on mom on their new adventure and offer a thank you for all the wonderful memories we made together! ❤

Every morning we're greeted by furry faces for doggy daycare. We live our daycare guests and many of them begin to feel like part of the family. We appreciate them and their parents for making Double Dog more fun!

This fluffy boy joined us over the weekend and quickly became friends with all the guests! He was a bit of a scaredy cat when it came to group activities, but he had a ton of fun playing one-on-one with new friends.

We've got twice the double dogs today!

Molly and Bowie joined us for several nights last week and quickly became best buddies! Molly was a total cuddle butt who loved everyone and everything. Bowie is a sweet heart and one of our best behaved pups!

Cleo fit right in with the rest of our black labs and Dixie quickly took a liking to the various puppies we had over during their week long stay. They were also huge fans of butt and belly scratches!

Time for our final overnight guests from last weekend! Meet Sprite, Luna, and Caesar!

These three good balls came joined us on Saturday while their partners enjoyed some Labor Day related activities. Luna and Ceasar (the two black ones) loved playing with each other and they other puppies we had over! Sprite mostly preferred to sleep wherever was most comfortable. 😂

For some reason, we were sent this ham over the weekend. His name happens to be Henri!

Henri was a funny little Beagle that loved playing and getting cuddles. He was also a major foodie! Anytime we were eating, Henri was right there to watch!

We're finishing off the week with a showcase of doggy daycares from this week and last weekend.

We had Maple come over on Saturday for some much needed play time! Shaggy joined us briefly on sunday to hang out and cuddle. Finally, Henley joined us during the week for a day of running around the backyard and napping on the couch.

A huge thanks to all of our double dogs! We are at capacity this weekend and will have new openings available on monday. We'll be sharing our labor day crew starting on monday!

Do you ever see a dog and think their name fits them *too* well? That's what we thought when we first met today's double dog: Hunt!

Hunt loved exploring the backyard and napping in the dog beds around the house. He was only with us for a single night, but he left a pretty strong impression. We hope you visit again soon, Hunt!

Today's Double Dog is a double! (Does that make us quadruple canine?)

Meet Roger (Golden Retriever) and his little sister, Rosie (cavalier king charles spaniel). These two good balls joined us last weekend for a few days of naps and vigorous playing. Roger loved played fetch and Rosie was a huge fan of chewing on sticks!

Another day, another double dog! Everyone, meet Levi!

Levi was a last minute drop off for this weekend and we're so happy we took him in! He's one of the biggest sweethearts in the world. When Levi wasn't running around the house at top speeds, he was curled up in a dog bed or someone's lap enjoying a nap. He loved playing with all the other dogs and made a ton of friends along the way!

Thanks for coming over Levi! We can't wait to see you again!

Meet Biscuit Business, our latest Double Dog!

Biscuit stayed with us for a few nights while his parents were out of town and he had a blast! Even though he was the smallest dog we had over, Biscuit played with all of the bigger dogs! He loved cuddling and getting belly rubs. He was super food motivated and he was always down for a few quick zoomies around the house. Thanks for visiting Biscuit! We can't wait to see you again! 😊
