We’re very excited to shout out two of our students who in the past couple of months have officially become first time horse owners!

Emily brought Poncho home in October (we are late on her shout out)! They have already developed a great relationship and we could not have asked for a better match.

And Vivian found her new best friend this past weekend who she has named Bentley! Bentley has been such a good boy so quickly and we all couldn’t be happier!

Hands down one of our favorite parts of the job is finding our students their dream horses and watching them grow together. Congrats ladies! You both have the best adventure ahead!

This past weekend we wrapped up our show season with our final home show of the year. All of the kids had so much fun and the improvements they have made since the beginning of the year were unbelievable. We are so proud of each of these students and cannot wait to see what next year will bring. Thank you to all who participated and volunteered! We have the best barn family and we love you all so much!

A very special thank you goes out to Frank Reed who volunteered his time and knowledge to judge all 3 of our shows this year. Frank gave so many of our girls confidence and pointers that will help them improve for next year. Frank thank you so much, We could not have done any of them without you!

Our team had such a great time last weekend at Youth Charity Horse Show!! With 6 riders we were incredibly busy but we wouldn’t have it any other way. These girls worked very hard to prepare for this show and it was very rewarding to see it pay off! Proud of all of you! 💕

Congratulations to Emily Bianchi, Makenna Jones, J Beto, and Laney Maloy for placing 2nd at today’s Illinois FFA Horse Judging CDE! Laney and Emily were also in the Top 10 individually placing 6th and 10th respectively!

Special shout out to 2020 Normal FFA alum Maddie Kraft for joining us today! Maddie, along with Miss Kraft, were both members of our 2017 State Champion Horse Judging Team!

We also want to thank Freedom Reins Horsemanship for allowing our team into your facility for practice earlier this season!

Don’t forget the fun pics from the show weekend also! Our show team stayed overnight together and it allowed for a lot of fun team-bonding amoungst the girls. They had a blast and so did the adults! Nike even tagged along for his first show and enjoyed quite a bit of attention.

We are currently looking to hire a few new members to our team! We have a much loved staff, however a couple of them are heading out of state for college this fall 🥺 leaving us with a few spots to fill!

Most needed hours are from 7 am - 12 pm both throughout the week and on weekends, which includes feeding, turnout, cleaning stalls, and farm projects. Evenings chore hours are occasionally available also from 3:30 - 7 pm.
Full time hours also available for the right candidates.

Looking for individuals who are hard-working, reliable, have transportation, and who put quality horse care above all! Horse experience is preferred although not required as training will be offered. Pay dependent upon experience.

August 2nd we will have Chenoweth Equine Dentistry back to float teeth and we are starting our list of horses that need done! Clients in the barn can sign up on the white board or let one of the managers know.

We are once again allowing haul-ins for local horses who want to get on his schedule. Please let management know in advanced so we can make sure we have a plan for you all!

Congrats to all who participated yesterday in our second home show of the year. Every single rider was able to accomplish some of their goals and many stepped outside of their comfort zones to try something new! We could not be more proud of each and every one of you.

We also want to give a shout out to some of our more experienced riders who participated and assisted! You all are amazing role models to these young girls and they all loved watching you all perform.

Next show up is the McLean County Fair! Please come out and support our team!

Check out the great work our students put in last night at the wound care clinic! We learned how to evaluate, clean, and bandage wounds and then did some hands on practice on our horses. Everyone got to attempt the bandages several times and it’s amazing how quickly everyone figured it out! Practice makes perfect and these students will be pro’s here shortly 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Yesterday our team was out again competing, this time at the Dewitt County Rebel Riders Open show! It was definitely a hot one 🥵 but all of our riders did a great job showing in very competitive classes! Great work ladies! And thank you as always to the families who supported our team and especially kept both horses and humans hydrated in this heat!

First off-property show of the year in the books! We are so proud of all of the girls and their horses. With 6 students and 2 schooling horses we had a full team! Not only did they all ride well and learn a lot, they all worked together to prep the horses and trailers Saturday, load/unload horses, and cleaned up afterwards. Horse showing is hard work but also so rewarding! Thank you to our staff, parents, and families who all pitched in to help support our team. We wouldn’t be able to do it without you!!!

Thank you to everyone who attended the Equine Anatomy clinic last night! We had a blast and loved seeing our kids challenge themselves to learn more about the horses they love so much! Thank you also to our horse models Duckie, Lucy, and Bear (Thanks Amy Colehower Deany & Sophie) who put up with our shennanigans so these kids could practice what they have learned!!

Happy Mother’s Day to all, but especially the barn mom’s who do so much to support their kids in this crazy horse life!
