The gang was all inside last night due to the storms. All comfy, cozy and warm bran mash with pm & am feed to keep everything moving. Beautiful morning today but a lot of cleanup with down branches and a few fence boards. I hope everyone else was as fortunate and fared well through the storms!

If you are looking for a place to retire your horse, we love and take care of them as our own.

Here at Altorac Farm we use for all of our rehabilitation horses. This cardboard bedding is perfect for horses of all types! Airlite is allergen free, highly absorbent, super cushy, insulates well, ammonia free, and sustainable! This bedding composts in 8-12 weeks and is great for all facilities. Cardboard bedding is highly recommended by vets for horses with respiratory or allergy issues. This allows the horse to heal in the best possible environment with no risk of respiratory distress while they are in our care.

Not only does this benefit our horses in our care, but also our staff! Because this bedding is virtually dust free, our employees don’t have to worry about inhaling small dust particles that can interrupt our own respiratory system!

In his retirement, Mango loves receiving carrots and getting curried, but hates getting baths. His favorite activity is grazing and come spring, he will be sporting a nice accessory to help with the excess intake of the sugary spring grass.

12/10 Mango recommends coming to Altorac Farm to live in the life of luxury!

The horses here love getting a quality diet from high quality forages provided through pasture and hay.

Our grass hay is grown right here on the farm! We send all of our cuttings to be analyzed for nutrient content including protein, moisture content, calcium, phosphorus, and even starches and sugars for our clients that have metabolic issues.

These analyses give us the opportunity to formulate a feed ration to meet your horses daily energy requirements and ensure that your horse stays in top condition during their stay here.

Let us know when you’re ready to send your horse here for rehabilitation or retirement, and we’ll make sure they receive 5* care.
