These dogs are wonderful with everything except chickens and other birds. They’ve been living with the goats and ducks and chickens for the last year and recently started killing the birds.

The need more of a people environment. They deserve more than I can give them. They could be trained and be wonderful dogs. They’ve always been together. I know it would suck to separate them but they have litter mate syndrome and dont listen. They aren’t bad dogs. They just don’t listen. They love being outside. Love getting dirty and being dirty. They need a groom.

We named them Marshall and Chase.”

We are happy to welcome as the new ShelterDirector Katherine Carmody. She previously worked at the Jackson Animal Care Clinic where she was a specialist in isolation and getting animals ready for adoption. She is a self admitted cat lady but loves the dogs too. We welcome her and look forward to her new ideas. She will be working closely with our assistant director ,Cathleen Hamilton,to bring improvements to the shelter.

Summer will be over before we know it. You know what that means! Everyone needs to find themselves a cuddle partner to stay warm! Our chonky boy Tucker could be the perfect fit for you! He’s a neutered 2 1/2 year old Heinz 57 that is up to date on all vaccinations. He’s good with other dogs & kids. Tucker is super playful and loves his toys!

Meet Birkley! He’s an almost 2 year old lab/blue heeler mix that is neutered & up to date on his vaccinations. He’s a super sweet, energetic dog that is ready to bust outta this place into a new home! Come by the shelter to take him on a walk or play with him in our play area! You might end up meeting your new best friend.
