Cold temperatures are on the way! It’s time to prepare and plan for the safety of your animals. ❄️🐾

If you are able to, please bring your animals inside during the frigid cold temperatures. If you aren’t able to do so, be sure to provide shelter for them, like a dog house.

Do NOT use blankets, towels, or hay for animals outside. They hold onto moisture causing them to freeze. If an animal is sleeping on them, it can cause hypothermia to set in. STRAW is the way to go. Most co-ops sell straw if you are needing to purchase it.

Be sure to make sure that your animals have clean drinking water that isn’t frozen and fresh food.

Cats and other small animals may get under the hood of your car to keep warm. Make sure that you tap on the hood of your car a few times before starting your engine to avoid hurting them.

Summer will be over before we know it. You know what that means! Everyone needs to find themselves a cuddle partner to stay warm! Our chonky boy Tucker could be the perfect fit for you! He’s a neutered 2 1/2 year old Heinz 57 that is up to date on all vaccinations. He’s good with other dogs & kids. Tucker is super playful and loves his toys!

Meet Birkley! He’s an almost 2 year old lab/blue heeler mix that is neutered & up to date on his vaccinations. He’s a super sweet, energetic dog that is ready to bust outta this place into a new home! Come by the shelter to take him on a walk or play with him in our play area! You might end up meeting your new best friend.
