Two female AKC registered German Shorthair Pointers ready to go home! These pups are out of our personal litter with Sitka and our buddy’s dog Angus! Both parents come from excellent bloodlines and are excellent hunters, they both also are great family dogs! Video of the pups playing in the comments!

Hey guys, as you most of you know we’re expecting our little girl to make her arrival between tomorrow night and Tuesday! With that being said we want to go ahead and inform everyone that we have help in place for the kennel and Casey will be going back and forth to oversee as well. If your dog is in training or is almost ready to go home Casey will be in touch with you once we get back home towards the end of the week, if your dog is almost finished with training he will be reaching out to schedule your in person training. Please respect our privacy as we take some time to welcome our daughter into the world, Casey will be back to working a normal schedule by the end of the week. Thank you all for your continued support we can’t tell you guys how much we appreciate all of you!

A lot of folks in our neck of the woods have been purchasing GSP pups, it’s important with this particular breed’s high energy levels to have ample off leash time and brain stimulation through working with a human counterpart. With that being said Cody and Fallon have became the ideal team and this pairing should last a lifetime. Investing in you and your dogs future is so worth it, this keeps you happy, your dog happy and others happy when your dog is stable and under control. When Osiris came to us he was a lot for his mom to handle. He pulled her on the leash and he had no patience. Upon graduating our obedience program he could easily be handled on and off leash. As you can see in the video he worked amazingly through his patience problems!

In the coming weeks and months you will see dogs from the past that have completed obedience, upland work, force fetch and have had water intros but are back for more formal training in the wetlands! Warm temps are here and it’s time to add in more water work. For a lot of our customers the dog they own is their “do it all dog” upland, waterfowl, companion in the house etc . It’s important that we cover all aspects of the criteria with obedience always being first and foremost.

Hey y’all, this is Mackenzie!
We have been very busy the last couple of months and we have many clients and dogs to brag on! But this one is special to me, this is my “Girlkin” Beretta, I worked her all last summer formally and Casey took her out west to be guided over her last fall . Beretta has everything I personally want in a Boykin stay tuned for more Beretta content in the future as she gets her feet wet in multiple venues!

The 2023/2024 woodcock season has wrapped up in NC. During the last week of the season Koda and her owner Thomas and his son Dusty went out to one of their favorite honey holes. Koda is a graduate of our started gun dog program a little over a year ago and came back last summer for a little tune up. Big shout out to Dusty and Thomas for putting in the miles to make the memories with Koda, you guys rock!

Lots of reports coming in from the holiday weekend, here’s a dedicated pair right here. Ryder was here for our late summer entry level gun dog program. Him and his dedicated owner have beat the bush’s in search of their first southern woods wild bob. They completed that task this weekend all while toting a shotgun his grandfather gifted him at age 12 . It doesn’t get much better! Congrats guys, this is why we do what we do!

Daisy is out of Cedar Grove’s Wi******er, she’s killing it in the upland covers and her owner is pleased. On this particular day he limited out and then was just out for a stroll working his dog on birds. So many folks are breeding dogs with nothing to back it up other than tailgate pics and story’s . Where’s the proof!? Proofs in the pudding with these owners . Proud to say this fella takes pride in himself his dog and his dog work . Keep up the good work guys!

Boone x Cabela pups update!
It’s been a pretty good year so far for these dogs and their owners. Pretty happy about mine and Ryan’s litter and how they’re working out I personally kept 2 of these pups and mine have done well also. We don’t have updates from everyone this season but hoping for news soon once the NC deer season is out. There are a lot of folks out there breeding papers, and even though we have good bred dogs on paper I’m a firm believer you can’t hunt papers. Wild birds in wild places are our proving grounds and where the rubber meets the road for us. You can sit out all the birds you want, you can compare paperwork over and over, but you really find out what you have in the box when you drop the tailgate in the birds domain where they’ve got the upper hand 99 percent of the time.

Things are heating up, the guiding season in NC is upon us. I’ve guided my usual customers for the last 3 years with room for 2 or 3 more hunts this year. We don’t push to guide alot here because we enjoy working our young dogs in training and our customer dogs in training on these birds over and over without pushing them out of our covers. We get asked a lot about how we gauge our dogs and decide what we’re going to guide with, breed, etc. That’s an easy answer some dogs are just bird finders. We put our dogs in wild birds throughout the country on different species of birds and putting countless miles on a pickup truck. All to see what these dogs are made of. If we have a litter off our dogs just know that dam and sire have more than likely went the distance and we’re satisfied with them on more than just birds sat in a launcher or thrown out in a simulated hunt scenario.

Skye is a graduate of our started gun dog program from last summer. She’s a family dog first, she’s got a mom dad and 2 little girls to spoil on her on the daily. She’s been through obedience, she’s woah broke, force fetched and spoiled with love! Shoutout to her owner Cody Osteen for following through and keeping up our training and keeping her in birds. Dedicated owners make life easy! We love getting updates from past clients!

We are planning to move some young started dogs to make room to focus more on our line of setters and our guide string. When Charlie got to us he did not have much patience at all. This video was taken mid ways through his training with us when we first started working on patience with him.
