Your puppy is only limited by what you are willing to teach them!
Baby Scrim has learned that that funny smell (explosive powder components) is the ticket to earning himself a reward! This is the beginning process of explosives detection that could potentially save lives in the future. Good boy Scrim!

We want to help you 🫵 train your perfect puppy!
We bring puppies into our lives so that we have a chance to ‘do it right’ with a clean slate. So let’s make sure we are checking off those boxes and bring out the best in our puppies right from the start!
Box feeding protocol for Bailey
We needed to take a step away from our plan A (obedience and +/- R) and do some good ol desensitization with the box.
If you’re a dog nerd, you with enjoy this video! It’s the last and most challenging portion of the session.
A snippet from today’s outing! We found this even by surprise and when that happens, we take advantage of it! Good boy Ranger! Ps, the music is from the environment, not from video editing!
Y’all, the club now has a certified psa decoy (not that he wasn’t already qualified!)
The torture these guys went through was insane but he made it through with bravery.
Congratulations to Chaz Grider and thank you for your hard work and dedication!
Baileys is in our advance lesson program and her training is coming together nicely!! Proud of this girl 🥰
We love a good hike and sometimes our training pups get to join in on the fun!
Daisy did an awesome job sticking with the pack and had a ton of fun following them in the water and chasing them up the hills!
Kano went home last week! When I met Kano, he let it be known that I was not welcome and barked a good portion of the evaluation. There was a lot of imbalance in his life and his behavior left him house ridden.
After training, Kano is making much better decisions and coexisting with the world! Excited to see him enjoy his new freedoms!
The happiest dogs are well trained dogs. Dogs who are taught what is alright AND what is wrong gain clarity quickly. With clarity comes confidence.
Imagine you are taking a test. If you are making guesses and sometimes get it right that’s good! You’re happy and you keep trying blindly. Eventually you may get board or frustrated because you can’t seem to figure out what you did right the first time.
Now imagine you have a mentor standing next to you while taking this test. You are working your test and your mentor notices you are getting confused and further from your answer so they stop you by saying ‘ah-ah, try again’. So you try something else instead of wasting time and effort going down the wrong path. With the elimination of the wrong answers, you are quicker to find the right ones. You’re able to catch patterns and work out the solutions quicker because you can connect the dots. You gain confidence in learning and answering questions successfully.
Make sense, right? It does to your dog too!
My top 3 important words I want my dogs to know are their name for a recall, and our marker words “good” and “no”. With these words in place, it makes navigating the world so much easier and clearer! Basic behaviors such as ‘sit’ and ‘heel’ are the perfect place to strengthen our marker words for when we really need it in real life to say “no, don’t approach that XYZ” or “no, stay away from my steak on the table”.
