Used Jeter as my test animal for the amazing swag bag that I was sent home with from Skyline by Elemental Grooming!
If you know me well, you know that dull coats and pathetic tails haunt me at night, so I had to reach for the CocoCoat and That Tail Crap first.
Immediately after, I grabbed the Essential Hoof Oil - because if your horse is going to sparkle from head to tail, you might as well have them sparkle their twinkle toes too!
Needless to say, I’m smitten with this stuff, and amazed that it’s all natural. He’s out in the field now, glistening in the Autumn sun!
Elemental Grooming stuff for the win! #striketwo #carpediem #ottb
Back to our “A Diggs Post A Day” posts…
Arabella is doing her Internship Course with me this summer, and because of that, I get to have a right hand woman from 7-11am every day. This has honestly been transformative to my life, as she’s now lunging, flatting, tacking, and videoing.
Who knew that you didn’t have to do everything yourself?
Anywho. She’s also learning. So when she comes to take video, I try to verbalize what exactly I’m trying to do, in hopes that it registers in her brain during her own rides!
So enjoy 2 minutes of me explaining why/how I ride Diggs to her. He was actually quite rideable this day, so there’s not much in the way of nonsense, but you can hear me talk my way through!
A Diggs a Day Post
Do I really even need a caption?
Ok ok ok - here’s another video of Diggs overjumling fences. Because, ya know, zombies in flower boxes and whatnot.

But now calling all of you lopers, ropers, and can chasers…
This thoroughbred is screaming out for you. At just 15.3hh, his center of gravity is about as low to the ground as any of those 7/8ths thoroughbreds y’all are calling quarter horses.
Let his stamina be utilized on the range. Let his balance get you around those barrels. Let his speed win you a buckle or two.
Let his rage be used against cows instead of humans.
Let him be your problem. In western tack.
The man that broke the internet, Mr. Diggs himself, is still waiting for his Josh Allen.
We plan to continue to produce him and have a few shows scheduled, but all that will do is increase his price as he puts in the miles and develops a record!
So to you young pro’s on the budget? Swoop in now before I do something really dumb like enter him at Split Rock 🤔😂
Spent a lot of time these past 24 hours thinking about what makes humanity tick.
I can post a mare who’s ready for a training level move up - crickets.
A 3yo gelding who has the canter/scope for the upper levels - crickets.
But a 15.3hh pocket rocket who is exhausting to ride daily? BREAK THE INTERNET.
Y’all either don’t like your children, your sanity, or your mental health - but let me do you a favor.
This horse is THE SAME price, THE SAME age, and also has good gaits and seems to love to jump.
And on ride 4 of his retraining? We did a lesson with Arabella where she worked on tempo, balance, and position.
THIS is your teenagers first retrain. THIS is your adult ammy weekend warrior. THIS is the one who makes you smile.
So all of you people riding at Advanced who want Diggs? Keep messaging. But all of you who THINK you want Diggs but actually need a fun ammy type? Call me about Campbell.

Had a nice little jump around with Instafamous last night after the Tamie Smith clinic, and imparted a lot of what we learned into it.
This horse is so athletic, he just steps over 3’. He was one of the horses that I tasked to my working students to take over, and McKenna has done a phenomenal job with him. I would love to see her take him from start to finish with a sale, but she graduates this weekend and then heads to Wyoming the following weekend to play cowgirl.
So for the next week, we are negotiable on him and are willing to hear reasonable offers. He is one that a competent amateur or a professional would really enjoy. Has been XC schooling, has been to local jumper shows. Same off property as on (potentially better). Monster canter and learning to stretch into the contact.
16.2hh, gelding, 6yo and a stakes winner. Would love to see someone produce him all the way up!
PM for more details - his price will only increase if I take over the reins once McKenna leaves!
It was so much fun to teach Arabella how to teach a horse to jump.
We started with poles, went to placement rails in front of tiny crossrails. Trotted first, cantered second. That then went to trotting small fences with fill, and finished with cantering this whole “course”.
My favorite part of this farm is that I can impact the lives of so many thoroughbreds, but also impact the future careers of so many horsewomen. It’s a trickle down effect, and I just can’t wait to see where each of them (human and horses) go.
And Chet? Well, he took to this jumping this A-Ok. Love when their brains can absorb something new so easily!
A lot of people have asked how our amazing 3yo Super Shar was around the barn.
I figured I would let him speak for himself.

This stunning 3yo is still available, and while I’m fully game to be the one to let him grow up and list for quadruple, he just doesn’t need us.
Super Shar (Super Saver x Munnings) is what everyone needs. He’s easy, he’s snuggly, he’s game to try, and he’s sound barefoot. He’s happy to be in the field with friends, and he’s happy to go explore with humans.
He has 3 huge gaits that defy just how butt high he is right now, and he’s happy to show them off.
Good in the crossties. Stands for the farrier. Stands to be mounted. An appropriate first retrain for someone who has patience to let their future rockstar grow with them!
Have been hiding this video from Sunday but now I can properly list this amazing dude.
Snow House is a 5yo gelding that sticks just shy of 16hh. He takes up a ton of leg and is sound and clean legged. This horse is easy as they come, but also really lovely to sit on and watch go. He came off the track end of December and has been given 90 days to just be a horse. Easy to be around, easy to love.
He’s only had a handful of rides post-track but would be suitable for a competent ammy or even teenager. Big gaits, but doesn’t pull you around out of the tack. We’ve let him trot over little poles and he seems game for the job. Will be the type we will take off property asap!

One of my favorite parts of giving the girls their “own” project horse is that 90% of the time, they are riding without me there. So when I do see them go, say, on Sunday Funday, it could be week(s) since the last time I watched.
Today, Claire asked if we could grab some video of Seb, and I enthusiastically agreed. I know this horse has all of the makings to be an absolute rockstar, but he’s unlike anything Claire has taken the lead on. So to say I was wow’d would be an understatement.
He has three beautiful gaits, is starting to understand consistent contact, and we even exposed him to his first placement rails and oxers.
What a COOL, cool dude. And excited for me to experience his next ride that I get to witness. #sebswelcome #rajsaman #retiredsteeplechaser #frenchbred #ottb #sewickleystables
We’ve been having a blast down here in Aiken this week, and McKenna put together this great edit of a fun morning spent at Bruce’s Field with Sam, Jeter, and Fancy.
The ponies (and riders) are learning a ton, knocking off the winter dust, and enjoying immersing ourselves in the horsey climate down here.
Tomorrow, we head to Pine Top for their event, and fingers crossed all ponies retained what they have learned!
What a beautiful day for a field trip!
We got to journey to Masterson Equestrian Trust (MET) for “baby day” - and this included a first off property experience for this handsome gent.
Seb’s Welcome, aka Seb, is a French-bred 5 year old who’s race career was spent steeplechasing. His owner graciously placed him with us to let Claire have another project after Huey sold, and methinks they’re a great team.
Seb got to see a little bit of everything today, and ended with a great flat in the middle of the XC field! I’m really excited to see what Claire can do with this one in the next few month! #sebswelcome
Utah doing Utah things.
Guys, this horse doesn’t need us. What he needs is someone who just wants to enjoy themselves, always feel safe, and also clean up blue ribbons.
He’s quiet just scopey. Easy yet athletic. Safe enough for an up/down lesson but fancy enough to go do the low greens this spring.
Low 5s, but this will increase with a record, and that record will start very very soon!
I have now gotten to swing up on Super Shar a couple of times, and gosh does this dude just make me smile. So easy, yet so fancy. He’s cool, calm, and collected, but also athletic and fun.
This 3yo is going to cover massive ground when he levels out and comes up in his withers - and I think he’ll eventually have great gaits. But for how downhill he is, he’s quite balanced and even. Not a bad side, and happy to go to work.
This guy is RRP eligible and would be perfect for a teenager or adult ammy’s first retrain. Simple minded, happy to do the job, and fun to be around.

Rode a whole schmorgazboard of thoroughbreds today, but ended with a fun few jumps on Instafamous.
This guy is one that would be super fun for a game teenager or an adult who needs enjoys a little bit of attitude and arrogance in their life!
I personally really enjoy this horse, and I think he’ll be one to climb up the levels quickly and well! #Instafamous #cityzip #ottb
Up next? Utah.
This horse just brings me so much joy. He TRIED so hard on Sunday, even if coming out at 2’6 was a huge reach for him. He seemed a bit frazzled by the bigger fences, but it brought me great joy to watch Claire do a masterful job piloting a green horse around, and ending on a positive note!
We went back out to the warm up area and just let him regain his confidence over the smaller oxer, patted him on the neck, and let him go back to his hay net. He stood at the trailer happily while the rest did the bigger heights, and was just a gem the whole day to be handled.
I truly think this horse wants to go storm around the TB Hunters, and be a good boy for whomever ends up with him. He’s just so sweet, so kind, and so happy to have the job!
Up next we had Instafamous, aka Ronaldo.
We have really thrown the gauntlet at Ronaldo, and he has just impressed me at every turn. In the 5 weeks that we have had him, he has gone XC schooling, and now been to two different jumper shows.
He stands at the trailer quietly for hours on end, has handled himself impeccably in warm up, and then bebop’s around the course without a care in the world.
There was no option to start at a lower height this weekend, so he got tossed into the deep end by entering the 2’6. Although that caused some hesitation at first, he ended the day more confident than he started.
This horse is going to be so much fun for someone, but in the meantime, we sure enjoy having him around! What a cool horse! #instafamous #cityzip #ottb
With Huey adventuring off to his new home this weekend, we are becoming aware of how many hearts we broke by selling him.
So here is me telling you - we have “another Huey.”
Utah might not have the 6 months of retraining that Claire so amazingly put on Huey, but he has an almost identical brain, kind heart, and good feet. He isn’t finished by any means, but he comes out every day and tries to please. He is chunky like Huey, he is safe like Huey, and he is fun like Huey.
And because he isn’t more produced? He is quite a bit less expensive than Huey.
So consider giving Utah a look if you’re searching for the brain that will be a fun project. Just like Huey.
