We are SO EXCITED to announce that JORDAN'S WAY will be here for a (4) hour LIVE fundraiser as part of their NATIONAL Tour to help us raise money for the Davidson County Animal Shelter! Last year, we raised over $8,000 in just 4 hours and we know that we can do even better this year!

There is a small corner in our shelter where we keep food to help our citizens when things are tight. Today, that corner sits empty of dog food. We just gave the last small bag to a citizen with two large dogs. We know he will need more in just a few days, if not sooner. If you can help it would be greatly appreciated. It is extremely heartbreaking not to be able to help. Thank you in advance.

P.S.A. Shelter animals are not in need.

In addition to our $5 Rabies Vaccine and $15 Microchips, we will be offering FREE Parvo/Distemper Vaccines, while supplies last!
National nonprofit organizations Petco Love and BISSELL Pet Foundation are giving pets their best shot for a healthy life by offering free pet vaccines during a month-long national initiative.
As spring rings in puppy and kitten season, the potential exposure to contagious and deadly viruses increases. These deadly diseases — parvovirus, distemper, and panleukopenia — are preventable!
Vaccines distributed under this initiative are DAPPv Canine and HCP Feline vaccines in partnership with Merck Animal Health.
Everyone is welcome, you do not need to live in Davidson County.

Sometimes the only thing standing in the way of animals leaving the shelter is a ride. This is where you can help!! I have a private message group for dedicated volunteers. When the need arises I message the group with the place at time transport needs to happen and if you're available you say "I'll do it". If you would like to be added to this group to help please let me know and I will add you. Mostly transport occurs in NC but sometimes Virginia rescues offer to help also. Right now we have kittens needed to get to Raleigh but they need a lift.

These kittens will be ready for adoption soon, in the meantime, can they crash at your place?? We are seeking foster homes for these kittens are more. Swing by to fill out the paperwork and pick your kitten or two. We provide the supplies and medical care. Let us know if you can help! Fosters get first choice of adoption.
**Fosters do need to be somewhat local because they will need to be brought back periodically for vaccines and weight checks**

HELP! Kitten season is in full swing and we desperately need foster homes to help us save all of these sweet babies.
Have you ever wanted to raise your own kitten? Have you ever considered fostering to help save innocent lives? Well now is your chance!
The Davidson County Animal Shelter will provide all vet care, food, and necessary supplies - all you have to provide is a safe, loving environment and socialization until the kittens are old enough to be adopted (approximately 12-14 weeks old).

I am excited to announce that we are opening our Volunteer program back up to our Volunteers!!! Masks and social distancing will be required when inside the building. Due to space, we are limited on the number of Volunteers that can come so please utilize the sign up sheet located in the Lobby in advance on days you plan on attending. We will be limited to 3 Volunteers in 2 hour increments. 11am-1pm, 1pm-3pm, 3pm-5pm Mon-Fri and Saturday 11am-1pm and 1pm-3pm. If you would like to get on the list for a particular day and time you are welcome to call in advance to get your spot reserved.
If you have any other questions about Volunteering please give Candi a call.

**New Waivers will have to be signed by ALL Volunteers and a small training session will need to take place before you can begin your first day. Volunteers must be 16 years of age and up**
