Scammers try to spoil your festive time. Read the following:

A new scam is starting to make its way around the country. It's called the Brushing Scam. The way it works is, you will receive an unexpected gift in the mail that you did not order from a place such as Amazon or another large company. The gift may be jewelry, electronics etc... The gift will have your address on it but will not have a sender's address. When the recipient opens the package they will see a QR code to find out who sent the gift. Once the code is scanned, all of the
information from that person's phone is immediately accessible to the
scammers to include your bank account information.
The gift can be thrown away or kept, but do not scan the QR code.
Do not scan any unknown QR codes because many scams of this nature are popping up all around the country.
