🚨 Urgent: Barn Homes Needed for Cats in Danger! 🚨

We’ve taken on a heartbreaking situation at a property where around 30 cats are facing serious threats from black vultures. The birds at this location have been reported to attack and possibly kill cats, and their presence is creating toxic conditions for the colony. With an elderly caretaker preparing to move away, the cats’ future is uncertain—and they urgently need safe, new homes.

We’re looking for barn homes for these cats as they’re trapped and vetted. While some may be stunning colorpoints, we can’t guarantee which cats will be ready at any given time. What we can promise is that each cat deserves a second chance at a safe, healthy life.

If you have a barn, workshop, or other outdoor space and can provide food, water, and shelter, please consider offering a home to these cats. You’ll not only gain excellent rodent control, but you’ll also save lives.

We would love to see all of our kitties adopted out before Christmas, however having a cat or kitten is a commitment for the life of the kitty. The adopters need to be invested in these fur babies. Please don't just give someone the gift of a cat or kitten. A person needs to be involved in the choice.

I know people mean well, but please do not feed cats straight out of the cans…I’ve cut myself more than a few times from the sharp edge inside of the can. We wanna HELP them, not hurt them. ♥️

Don't trap if you can't accommodate this and NEVER TRAP WITHOUT A PLAN!! Animals deserve love and compassion. You need time to recover from surgery, so do they ♥️ (we don't trap during winter months unless absolutely necessary (injury etc))
Also be sure to check if a cat is lactating. Easy to tell just put trap up on two chairs, crawl underneath and look to see the belly. Don't take lactating momma's in the cold weather. Her kittens won't survive. Please be kind. Don't leave traps set overnight in the cold. Always monitor your traps and release wildlife quickly. They deserve compassion too. Just use your common sense. I've heard too many horror stories lately and it's heartbreaking.

Betty is looking for her furever home! Here is some information about this beautiful girl:

Betty delivered a litter of kittens early in the fall; they've since been weaned and are in the process of being adopted. Betty has been spayed and now she is ready to settle down as a carefree, childfree kittycat. We believe Betty, only 7 pounds, is quite young and still a kitten at heart as she loves to play and loves to talk, too; she enjoys having conversations with anyone close by. Betty especially enjoys purring and having her head scratched. She has so much love to give!

You might wonder how Betty got her name. Well, Betty was a stray so no one knows her original name but we do know she delivered her kittens in an abandoned car on Birch Avenue. Birch trees are part of the Betula species. So, Betty's official name is Betula - but her friends just call her Betty.

Black cats are beautiful & generally get along with other cats more easily than other colors. Obviously, these characteristics are unknown by the general public who refuse to adopt them. 💔😿
