Today, we had to get a bit creative for Bear. As he ages, his hoof growth has slowed, and his right front sole was a bit pr*****ed, requiring extra protection and support. With age, Bear has developed arthritic changes, making an omnidirectional breakover essential to help him move more freely. Once we applied the first one, Bear's happiness was evident—he started nodding and licking in approval. It was awesome to see him so comfortable.

Every year my man Chip Lake comes down from Michigan to help out with the RRP. I could not do it without him. I appreciate all your help brother. What other job do you hang out with your friends and play with fire.

Things aren't always as the seem. I found a whole bunch of bacteria hiding behind a "false wall" while investigating a crack in the toe. I debrided the affected wall with a dremal tool and glued a 0 Equilibrium and some thrush buster for good measure. Happy to see him walk off a happy horse.

Meet Our Team:
Michelle Casperson (1984-2021)
Today’s "Meet Our Team" is a throwback to a team member of years past. When we met Michelle Casperson, she was leasing Rollingwoods Picturesque from her trainer. As a young, horse crazy girl Michelle would do whatever she could to show. Eventually, she became one of “our children” and rode Rollingwoods Sticky Fingers and Rollingwoods Stick To It (or as she called her, “the pink pony”) to great success in the hunter world. We could list their many accolades, but truthfully, one of the best things about Michelle is that the ponies were successful and happy under her tutelage and came back to the farm able to take care of any rider fortunate enough to ride them. After she graduated high school, Michelle came back and showed with us for some years in the Welsh World. During this time period we were amazed at her work ethic, her sunny disposition, and her general all around knowledge. She even helped young Turner Davis get in and out of the ring at shows, which was no small task. Along with her extraordinary ability to train ponies, Michelle was an awesome braider and she and Sally Ross spent many a morning talking in the barn while braiding. She had a way of taking bad situations and just making the best of them. Later she went on to ride for Robyn Schmidt, but we kept in touch and always enjoyed visits with her. She was a bit quirky from wearing her socks inside out to her sense of humor, but we loved her dearly for all that she was. We were privileged to know Michelle and honored to call her our friend. She will be greatly missed. Rest in peace, dear friend.
