Excited to be back for my sixth year volunteering at the Retired Racehorse Project Thoroughbred Makeover! It’s always such a enjoyable experience to watch these incredible athletes transition to new careers and thrive with their new skills. Every year I’m impressed by the dedication of the trainers and the resilience of these horses. Looking forward to another memorable event!

Today, we had to get a bit creative for Bear. As he ages, his hoof growth has slowed, and his right front sole was a bit pr*****ed, requiring extra protection and support. With age, Bear has developed arthritic changes, making an omnidirectional breakover essential to help him move more freely. Once we applied the first one, Bear's happiness was evident—he started nodding and licking in approval. It was awesome to see him so comfortable.
