The feeder comets we had keeping our tanks cycled have wrapped up their work!

Got pennies under the couch cushions? In your car’s cup holders? Need feeder comets as either feeders or pets? 1-2” feeder comets for 1¢ each while supplies last. We’re salvaging a handful of very pretty ones as pets, but need them ALL gone ASAP. A *few* plecos, algae eaters, rosy barbs, and giant mustache danios available, too, for…not much! Tanks will all be EMPTY by Wednesday, so now is the time.

Because the for-profit shop is closed and every aspect of supply and adoption is now 100% 501(c)(3) non profit at Blue Ridge Reptile Rescue, I still figured I’d share this with the shop’s audience. Yes, anyone can still come in and buy feeders. Yes, we still have literally all of the animals EXCEPT fish/birds. Yes, Grooming @ Lexington Pet Place still exists and is grooming as many pets as ever and booking solid up to and including the holidays, so if you want your pet freshened up, call FAST!

**Exciting Changes at the Pet Place Building!!**

We're making some important updates to better serve our community and the animals in our care. There’s always SO much going on here and what occurs behind the scenes with animals, veterinary trips and expenses, adoptions, surrenders, family, and our own personal healthcare is beyond nuts. We LOVE this community of animal lovers and have come to an extremely favorable compromise that allows us to stay sane and productive. Here’s what you need to know:

**What's New:**
- To ensure a safe and calm environment, our front door is now locked, and we’ve installed a Ring Doorbell. This means entry is by appointment or purpose only. Ring the doorbell when you arrive for a specific purpose and someone will be right with you. We may be busy attending to the animal rooms downstairs or with the groomers, but we’ll answer! Still no services on Mondays. If you’d like us to get something together for you to grab and dash, give us a call at 540-461-8314, or message any of the social pages!
- We've refocused our inventory. We no longer carry fish or aquarium goods, dog food, cat litter, bird products, or non-essential small animal supplies.
- Our commitment is now stronger than ever to the animals available for adoption through **Blue Ridge Reptile Rescue** and **Blue Ridge Pet Rescue**.

**What Stays the Same:**
- We continue to offer top-notch grooming services for dogs, cats, rabbits, ferrets, guinea pigs, and more. Our groomers are the very best EVER and heck no, we won’t let them go!! If anything, we hope to make grooming an even easier and safer service (can you say parking and all-one-level?) in the future!! Call 540-461-8314 to book an appointment! We’re booked out weeks, so plan ahead or get onto a routine schedule!
- We have all the supplies and feeders (live and frozen, worms, crickets, Dubia, etc!) you need for reptiles and amphibians at fabulous prices, along with a variety of animals available for adoption. ALL proceeds now directly support Blue Ridge Reptile Rescue, 501c3, and Blue Ridge Pet Rescue.
- Our rescue efforts have expanded! Expect more educational and fun events for the community.

We’re thrilled about these changes and look forward to continuing to support our rescue animals and customers. Thank you for your understanding!!

We have three ADORABLE kittens ready for adoption!! One has been adopted, but they couldn’t be cuter or sweeter! They want to be big lap-cats when they grow up. Dewormed, flea treatments, and first distemper vaccinations completed and perfectly well mannered with exquisite litterbox skills. Come meet these babies today!

We do not discuss fees/costs online. Must come in to adopt. Indoor ONLY, spays/neuters mandatory.

We said farewell to Snowball the Old Man Gerbil yesterday, June 26th, 2024. We received him as a rescue that didn’t get along with his brother on March 25th of 2019! He was already about a year and a half old and was considered to be past middle-aged. He was approximately six and a half years old! He would have a sluggish day and fresh blueberries would rejuvenate him amazingly! If you’ve ever met Mr Snowball, drop a line and know he was super-loved!
