Serving one paw at a time! We are dedicated to the well being of dogs and cats alike. Glenda Essic founded the shop in 1987. We also board cats.

We are located in the beautiful city of Lexington, North Carolina. Our facilities include a grooming parlor and a kennel. The individual kennels are 4x8 on the inside and 4x8 on the outside, as well. There is also a fenced in yard for the dogs to go out and play in. The prerequisites for grooming include being update to date on all of their shots (rabies, distemper, and bordetella.) Without proof

of updates we are not allowed to board your dog or cat. If you would like to make an appointment to come tour the kennels or bring your pet for boarding, please give us a call. :)

Todays corn dig was a big hit, all of our dogs dug their way to the corn toys!!! Our snack for lunch today was some delicious carrot slices! 🥕

👻🎃The Halloween Costume Contest is officially open!!!! 🎃👻

Did you know 10-15 minutes of high frequency sniffing is the equivalent of an hour workout? Our newest enrichment activity not only is just plain fun, but is putting those sniffers to work and who doesn’t love a good workout?! A normal respiratory rate for a resting dog can be around 15 breathes per minute. For a high frequency sniff session it can go up to 130-200 breathes per minute!! We’re so excited to start offering this wonderful activity to engage the dogs natural sniffing and give them both mental and physical stimulation!!

Who let the dogs out? It may have been us!🤫🤫 We kicked off this morning with our daycare yard dash and these pooches had the speed! For the small dogs we have a brand new podium line up and it was each dog’s game debut!
