Not the SAVE Matching Fund update we want to be posting. But here's the reality. We're under 4 days away from the end of the year, facing a $41,050 shortfall.

We had hoped that the holidays would bring some support along with them. They brought an empty mailbox.

If this continues, we will lose not just $40,000 in donations, but also $40,000 in matching funds. That's $80,000 that won't be food for hungry mouths.

It's $80,000 that won't be formula for orphaned infants.

It's $80,000 that won't be veterinary care for the ones who arrive desperately ill or badly injured.

There is no safety net for a $41,000 shortfall. If the SAVE Fund fails, it just fails. Please, for the sake of the animals whose lives depend on it, we are literally begging: don't let it fail.

Gifts of $100 or more are eligible to be matched in full by SAVE if made by the December 31 deadline. Please help.

We are looking to place two smooth coat adults. Brandy and Lucien. They’re bonded so they must be together. No large dogs. No children. Cats they’re fine with. Must have securely fenced in yard. They are not leash trained but are house broken and crate trained. Veterinary reference required.

As you know I now want to use my page for educational purposes. With the holidays coming up I really want to emphasize what a huge problem purchasing pets as gifts is. This chart shows the cost of a pet in the first year and thereafter. This chart doesn’t include emergencies which you must be prepared for. Please if you can’t afford this and more don’t get a pet. Not caring for their needs is cruel.

Due to some very unfortunate circumstances I need to rehome Brandy and Lucien. They are bonded and must stay together forever. Lucien is a chocolate smooth male and Brandy is a red smooth female. They are spayed neutered and current on everything. Crate trained. A home with no children, no large dogs and fenced yard a must. Reference from a veterinarian required. PM for information or interest.

This cute little guy was found running down Loudon Avenue in Lexington. He is not chipped. Friends of mine currently have him but can not keep him. If anyone knows any information on this cutie or would be interested in giving him a home contact me. He’s a male and seems to be house broken. Very sweet.
