With that I would also like to add that I will be implementing a no-show fee and a short-notice cancelation fee of 50% of the groom if it is more than $40. I will be starting this July 3rd.

You will not be charged if you cancel within 24 hours of your appointment.

If you have a double coated dog, please read this post.

This poor pup came in to me today. He's a double coated mix breed. His mom said he doesn't let her brush at home, and that he gives his groomers a hard time. 💁‍♀️ well, pup had some impacted coat and I wanted to use this opportunity to educate pet parents. If your dog is not "blowing" their own coat they need to be brushed at home a ton, or taken to a professional. This is a form of matting and is painful for the dogs. This can also cause skin infections, yeast infections, cause over heating, cause hair loss and pelting. If a coat becomes pelted it has to be shaved almost to the skin. The pile of fur was JUST from brushing and combing without a bath or blow out. And his mom was right, he gives groomers a hard time. I was only able to get half of him done before he was too stressed out to keep in the salon. I love all my pet clients and their parents and sending him home had nothing to do with my inability to groom him, it was purely to keep him safe and stress free. 😩
