Since we have so many new followers and clients we would like to reintroduce Casey County Veterinary Services, PLLC and the staff that helps make this business possible. CCVS is a privately owned mixed animal practice located in Liberty, KY. We take pride in providing veterinary services to Casey and surrounding counties. We strive to provide tailored services to meet the needs of our patients and clients. We offer a vast amount of small animal and small ruminant veterinary services, including after hour emergency services. We also provide large animal ambulatory and emergency services to our clients. Stay tuned for an introduction of the staff that makes up CCVS.

The warmer overnight temperatures saved us last night. We are in today with a smaller than usual staff. The main roads are in good shape this morning. This may change as the day goes on. We will try to be in normal business hours today.

We know many will be prepping for the upcoming weather event. If you have a shorthaired pet such as a boxer, pit, etc you might want to look into making arrangements to bring them in. If you have Pyrenees, Alaskan malamute, they don’t wanna come in, they will be living their best life. They mainly need shelter to keep their coats dry, food, and fresh water. Please be cautious with any heat lamps as they can be quite dangerous. If anyone needs any straw Dr. Brockman does have some available. To our cattlemen may God be with you as you tend to your livestock.

The older I get the softer I become. I guess the experiences I have dealt with in my life have either worn me down or softened the shell. I was having a conversation with someone just the other day and a statement was made, “if you can’t afford a dog you shouldn’t have a dog.” The old me would have whole heartedly agreed. Today me. Doesn’t everyone deserve to have a dog? Doesn’t every kid deserve to grow up with a dog? Doesn’t everyone deserve to have that friend that loves you no matter what stupid thing you did? Now I did not say buy yourself a designer dog. Or an expensive breed of dog. Get your kids a stray pup. Get that mutt dog with a stomach of steel that can eat anything. One that comes to the vet once a year for those annual vaccines. I don’t want this post to sound simple. Be sure to keep everything in mind when deciding if a dog will fit your lifestyle. Take responsibility in your decisions and stick with them. I think every kid deserves a dog and every dog deserves a kid!
