Due to continued treacherous road conditions, both of our locations will be closed today.
The current plan is to go back to regular schedule tomorrow which means Liberty will be closed and Lees Summit will be open normal hours.

In anticipation of the approaching winter storm we have blocked off reservations for Sunday.
We are always skeptical of the local forecast so we are waiting to officially close.
Both locations are open today and at least until 5pm tomorrow.

Last week our new little friend Aqua had her first appointment at Eye Care for Animals - Lee's Summit, MO.
The good news is that her outer eyelids are closing and she is able to see and get around normally. We will be keeping her in our care for 3-4 months until her next follow up appointment. Long term she may need surgery but we are hoping for the best for her.
We want to thank Friends of the Animal Shelter of St. Joseph and St. Joseph Animal Shelter for contacting us about helping her.

We want to welcome Aqua to the Sugar Kittens family!
The Friends of the Animal Shelter of St. Joseph and St. Joseph Animal Shelter reached out to us about taking in Aqua.
She has some very special needs. It appears she was born with a congenital defect of the eyelid called feline eyelid agenesis.
We have an appointment on Thursday with Eye Care for Animals - Lee's Summit, MO.
We are hoping there will be a surgical procedure that will help her but we know it will be expensive.
We are committed to giving Aqua the best chance for an amazing life!

Chuck reminded us today that when life slaps you in the face with an eggplant, you have to just smile and keep going!
It’s been a really rough couple of months for us. We have not been as busy as expected in Lees Summit and since reopening Liberty we are seeing less than half of the guests we had before.
Our veterinarian bills are pilling up and we can’t continue to save the kitties without your support.
