These young ladies are going places for sure. Isabella does barrel racing, and Dakota will be hitting the road with her soon. It is no easy task, trying to pair up people who do not live nearby with the right dog, but I try really really hard and I think it shows from time to time .🥰

Howdy, Y'all! I'm Cowboy 🤠, an Australian Cattle Dog. I am about 3 and a half dog years old. Along with being mighty handsome, I'm neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and current on heartworm and flea prevention. I am house-trained and crate-trained. Right now I'm livin' with my foster mama, one human sibling and a pack of dog siblings in Sunbury, Ohio.
My foster mama says I'm a real good boy and she can't believe that I found my way to her with no home to call my own (yet). She can be peculiar, that foster mama. I don't know why she's always admiring my behind- she's always saying something about my "cutest nub tail". I don't mind the attention, but I really just want her to throw the dang ball. I have a few words that I live by, "Ball is Life."
I reckon' it's a good time spent with my dog siblings so long as they don't try and bully me. I'll stand my ground when it comes to a bully. Sometimes I think it's a lot of fun to chase and pick on the little dog so I would appreciate some house mates closer to my own size. I don't think I'd do well with a feline companion, but I haven't met one here yet. Housemates or no housemates, Ball is still Life!
To sum it up real good for y'all.. I'm just a good ole, smart, loyal and handsome guy with a nubby tail who lives to play ball with my person. My foster mama says if you have been waiting for the perfect red heeler to walk into your life, nows your chance to meet me. Looks like someone pushed the door open in my grandfather‘s room this morning. He calls her mama dog and he does like her the best even if she does get into his trash because he insists on putting food in it.😂💕
No, two dogs are like. Each has their own needs, and that includes the amount of food they are given and the manner in which they are fed. Some need slow feeders some eat slow on their own and what’s worse sometimes I have to adjust the amount of food every few months because I noticed their metabolism change, especially my females.🥵 it’s exhausting😵💫

Come on everyone we’ve done it before let’s do it again. Let’s help find a dog a good home who deserves it! I’ll keep this post up for about a week or so, unless I hear the dog is still available. This came across my feed in my local group that I am moderator for and I used to be a member of this particular rescue. This is a courtesy post so this pup is not actually in the rescue or at a shelter. this handsome boy is about an hour and a half south of me still safe in his home while they find a new home for him. No judgment to the owner. it does sound like they have their hands full though, and that he is a typical cattle dog with a lot of energy and maybe some extreme cases of the zoomies who needs more space and attention.

rarely can I get up and walk away without her following me… Look at her right on the edge of the bed🤣 so thank goodness I no longer have Covid, but I’m still suffering the effects, but Helo decided to give me a little present yesterday morning when I was wrestling with him in bed… Poison ivy from head to toe!! Just another joy of having cattle dogs. I can’t catch a break around here.😭😫
Eight weeks to the Flippin day and my truck is finally back in my yard! I have to look down at five dogs and decide which to get to go for a ride first😢 It would be cruel not to choose Anson, and Luna had to stay home so much when she had her puppies so her next.💗

River Girl was my second favorite in her litter only because the original Helo wouldn’t leave my side. she is built just like her mama and has that mischievous. Egyptian smile in my opinion. She is full blood stumpy tail from both mom and dad. However she had the only full length tail of that litter! Not unheard of. She loves her family definitely her mama, but she has a big brother cattle dog and also a big sister corgi as well as two legged children that keep her busy. 🥰 I decided it’s time for a little bit of a photo dump. I’ll post some videos next to her chasing four wheeler next.

Mom needs me to get a few things in town before she leaves for her camping trip. My car has been in the shop for over two weeks and no one‘s been able to leave for a ride. These two jumped at the opportunity makes me feel so happy :-) the heat is on and the rain is pouring. It’s gonna be a good day.

These crazy kids! I seriously can call them all kids because Angus‘s new daddy most likely rode my School bus over in Dayton years ago he’s just so young. He probably doesn’t remember 🤣 I always feel bittersweet when a pup leaves because I love them so much but I don’t think I’ve laughed so hard in quite sometime. What a good sport I’m so psyched that he’s going to be living near one of our doctors down in Biddeford, so I’ll get to see him again.🥰
So this is the stuff that I use on my dogs both adults and puppies. They absolutely love the taste and it’s safe to use on puppies as early as two weeks old and a whelping mother 2 to 3 weeks after whelping You can find this at your local tractor supply store and I’m sure other places online and it only runs around $20. Stick it in the fridge and have it on hand throughout the summer months. follow the appropriate dosage schedule and you’re good :-)

I love it when I get families you can come and see me in person. These two brothers may not have agreed when they drove on the property but they did when it was time to go watermelon. Tine is going to Lynn Massachusetts with her big ACD brother Shadow in a few weeks 🥰

It may be a little tasteless… But not to him. So this duck disappeared almost 2 weeks ago and we figured it was killed by a fox so I sold its mate so that she wouldn’t be so lonely anymore. Well, the moron came back around 9 o’clock last night and Helo refused to come in.🙄 I have managed to keep him from killing our chickens or a Muskovy, but I guess in the dark he was no match for him😢
