So we had another great horse show. Alexis and Minion won the Hunter Country Pleasure championship after being second in the qualifier. They also took second in their open Hunter class.
Taylin McCarthy brought home a fistful of blue ribbons. She won academy hunt seat equitation and was second in horsemanship on Saturday and won both stake classes on Sunday. She also won academy equitation riders 11-13 and was third in horsemanship. She had to catch ride on Maggie after Caramina’s Wow!, her regular show horse, somehow cut himself in his stall. She did fantastic with no practice on the horse she took into the show As for Clyde, it’s a minor injury. He will be back showing again at the next show.
Audrey Peterson showed her new horse, C-King First Dance. They are still figuring each other out. They took 4th in both their classes and made some great passes. They are definitely a pair to watch in the 14-17 WT Academy division.
Kathryn and Elizabeth Jones went to the show for practice rides. They are quite beautiful in the saddle. We expect great things from them in the future.
And, to Elise Howen, thank you for all your help. You helped us get horses in and out of the ring, bucked up riders and did the thankless jobs behind the scene. Thank you for volunteering for such tiring and thankless jobs! We appreciate you so much!
