This week I had to say goodbye to my client of 10 years. It was very bitter sweet. I will have wonderful memories of the two Doxie's, Linus & Fannie May and also sweet Ruby Rose (in doggie heaven). I will miss you!😪

Meet Sandra - one of Paws 2 Considers finest!

Sandra meets all of Paws 2 Considers’ high standards when hiring a dog walker. Sandra has been with Paws 2 Consider for 4 years. She is extremely caring, reliable and she specializes in walking dogs with “special needs” (i.e. seniors, petite, disabled or those with medical issues).

In her own words:
“I have a deep passion for caring for animals—pets, rescued farm animals, and all the creatures I find when I’m in nature. In the work I do with Paws 2 Consider, I am especially drawn to
the old and disabled ones. They tug at my heart and give so much back when I care for them. In
my spare time, I volunteer at a farm animal sanctuary helping with the long list of chores a
sanctuary requires.”

With the 4th of July comes fireworks, which can frighten our beloved pets. If your pet is especially anxious about loud noises, please consider making an appointment with your vet as soon as possible, as many animals can benefit from anti-anxiety medication. Otherwise, keep your pet in a closed room with quiet, soothing music and something to distract from the noise, such as a puzzle toy or a frozen Kong.

It's also important to note that fear may cause your pet to become disoriented and run away. Always err on the side of caution and avoid bringing pets to fireworks displays. Most importantly, ensure your pet is microchipped and has a collar with identification tags.

Did you know that Paws 2 Consider offers doggie daycare as well as dog walking? We are different than the typical doggie daycare environment since we are located in a home setting. Play groups are smaller so your dog can be matched up with other dogs with a similar temperament and energy level to play with.

Paws 2 Considers daycare offers a low stress and intimate setting where we get to know your dogs very well and understand their specific needs. Some dogs want to run and play all day long, while others like to stay on the sidelines and observe the activity.

We offer a big fenced in backyard to play in and a spacious temperature controlled indoor play area. Snacks, comfy resting spots and toys are provided.

Big, small, young and old dogs are welcome. Before your dog can join the fun, they need to be temperament tested to make sure they get along well with the other dogs. They also need to be spayed or neutered and up to date on their vaccinations.

Hours are Monday – Friday from 7am – 6pm
Rate is $30 per dog (pick up and drop off is available for an extra charge)
