🐾 Meet Clark, the adorable flat-coated retriever, who visited us today at Greentree Animal Hospital! 🐶✨ Clark came in with his guardian, Nicole, to see Dr. Hai for some tummy troubles (diarrhea).

After all the excitement of being his usual crazy puppy self, he was so tired that he started dozing off while his owner gently held his head. 💤💕

We're happy to report that Clark is resting up and will be feeling better soon. Thanks for trusting us with your furry friend, Nicole! ❤️

🚨 **Teddy's Tasty Mistake!** 🚨

Meet Teddy, a mischievous young pup who learned the hard way that **silicone cupcakes aren’t actually food**! 🧁😬 Today,, he made an unexpected trip to Greentree Animal Hospital after snacking on one, and we had to induce vomiting to prevent a dangerous blockage (and possible surgery!).

Let’s just say… Teddy’s face says it all—instant regret.😅

Friendly reminder: Always keep non-edible “treats” out of reach of curious pups! 🐶❌

Although avian flu (H5N1) is affecting poultry and dairy cows in the United States, there are currently no human cases of bird flu in Lake County, Illinois. Avian flu viruses mainly infect and spread among wild migratory water birds and domestic poultry, some bird flu viruses can infect and spread to other animals as well. Going to the vet and getting blood drawn can be scary! Bear first came to us terrified at the vet! He started medications and doing weekly cooperative care visits with our technician Becca. He now willingly puts his paw out for his blood drawn! We are so proud of you Bear! Please call us to schedule cooperative care visits! 847 680 6543

Meet This Cutie. Sinead Joind The GreenTree Family Last Week. She Enjoyed All Of The Perks At Her Appointment, Especially The Churu!!! Sinead Is A Sphynk Cat. They Are Know For Their Lack Of Fur. Because They Have No Fur, They Lose A Significant Amount Of Body Heat. You Will Often See Them Sporting A Jacket Or Sweater.

Have you heard of a treat scatter? It's a great tool for reactive dogs. These are Dr. Hai's dogs. They react to people walking their dogs in front of the yard. I will open the window and throw a bunch of cheerios. They stop barking and focus on the cheerios. At the hospital, we use treat scatters during exams, trying to leave a room for excited dogs and many other reasons! It is not necessarily rewarding the behavior (ie barking in this situation), but helping calm an excited mind. Ask us how we can help by scheduling an appointment!
