Starting off the week right! Monday morning tracking sessions! Evan Upole and his dog Clyde are training to become one of the very few Deer Search teams in Western PA! They ran their first concentration tracks today and knocked them out of the park! If you shoot a deer this season and can't find it they are the team you want to find it!

Just a reminder...

THIS is what cattle dogs are genetically bred to do all day. It cannot be trained out of them. They need an outlet to work.

So no, unless your 5th grader is working on a ranch they do not need one. Most (not all) non-ranch/farm people do not need one.

From being a reactive/aggressive dog to walking around Ligonier without a care in the world in just two weeks!!! We built this beautiful momma's confidence up and then put some moderate obedience on her! Michael put a COPIOUS amount of time in her to get her to this point! Getting a puppy is a huge decision and a major responsibility!!! You never know what you're going to get no matter what the breed!!!

APX K9 suggests that you reach out to your local Trainers and ask them! Its always best to speak to a professional and know what/when/how to start training your puppy!!!

Our Biggest Pro-Tips are to start recalls and using a toy reward early as possible! That's usually around the Pre-Training Period which is 12-16 weeks!!! This is also when they understand what "No" means and any form of Praise/Reward!

Puppies are about being able to CONTAIN not be obedient at 16 weeks! Let the puppy be a puppy!!!

Everyone meet Winston, he is a future client! We are so excited to start with this big man's! It's always a good day when I get to see my clients and sit down for a delicious meal!!! I had an AMAZING time at Sweet Rust Whiskey which just got ranked in the top 10 on OpenTable in the Pittsburgh's region!!!
