Missing pup!

Wags to Riches is asking for help in locating one of our fur babies. She went missing last week near the LaFayette Elementary School area in Fuquay Varina, NC.

If anyone has found Blue Belle, she is a black Shi-poo. She was not wearing her collar, so we hope that someone is trying to locate her owners. Please reach out to the phone numbers below if you have any information.

This year, the Harnett County Animal Shelter is hosting a "Clear The Shelter" weeklong event on August 23rd, 25th, 26th & 27th between 1-4pm.

Let's help these GREAT dogs find GREAT homes!

While yes, the adoption fees are dramatically reduced during special events like this one, it’s still important to remember that adopting an animal is a lifetime commitment. Choosing a canine companion comes with the potential for so much love and companionship but it also comes with great responsibility.

Ahead of the event, we encourage anyone considering adopting, to visit the shelter – meet potential pets early so you have time to make well thought-out decisions. If you have dogs at home already, take them for a meet ‘n greet this weekend. Start planning now; securing supplies and setting your home up for safe introductions and decompression time should you bring home a new dog next week.

Equally as important, the shelter will also be hosting a RABIES CLINIC for $5 a pet on August 26th & August 27th. This is the first county-sponsored rabies clinic in more than a year. With limited access to low-cost care in our area, this is a terrific opportunity to catch up.

Description: Found him crossing N Main St in Lillington. He was caked in mud and covered in fleas. We brought him in and got him cleaned up and fed. Very hungry and thin but very nice boy.

Message from Owner: Our girl Maggie is an older girl and has wandered away from . She is a super sweet girl who loves everyone especially children. We miss her dearly and have searched everywhere for her. We are hoping a kind soul has picked her up to keep her safe from harm. She is our sweet girl and are hearts are broken....please any information would be helpful! We are offering a reward. Please pray for her safe return.
