Our Story
We have a small family farm with a miniature horse, a miniature donkey, a pony, 20 chickens, and herd of Nigerian dwarf goats. In the past couple of years we have had pigs, angora rabbits, alpacas, turkeys, meat chickens, quail and guinea fowl. Our farm grew to over 175 animals. That was a lot! After refocusing our efforts we decided that our goats would be our primary focus.
Our goat herd that we started with on November 15th, 2015 consisted of 7 goats that we picked up from a livestock dealer. We really had no idea what we were getting ourselves into. We found out that a couple of the goats were registerable, so we tracked down the breeder and registered them. Since then we have grown our herd to just over 20 goats. We have both registered and un-registered goats. All but 3 of our goats have horns. We love how they look with their horns! We milk the goats and use their milk to make goat milk soap, lotion, cheese, and fudge. We sell the goat milk soap at craft fairs, especially during the Christmas season. We also sell our Nigerian Dwarf goats.
