Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!

The community loves seeing Hazel (the deer) & we certainly have seen her around more lately 😊
We want to put out a little info so everyone is on the same page..
Hazel is a wild animal!! She is not owned by anyone but has definitely picked a place she likes to stay close to.
It is very apparent that hazel loves humans and we as well love her!
Please enjoy her company AT HER own free will...
Please do not put her in a vehicle, move her to a new location, try to take her home or confine her!
If she is being a nuisance in any way please just shoo her off.
There are very strict license requirements on harboring a deer. So without those license it is illegal to keep her as a pet!!
We are looking into a possible sanctuary for her if the time comes that it is needed.

Once again we hope everybody has a great holiday!!
We love seeing the pictures of the joy Hazel brings to our community!!💖

Here we have baby Steve! He is super sweet boy that we guess is around 5 to 6 months old. Needs some training a leash but he is a super nice dog that just wants someone to love him. He is good with cats and seems intreated in meeting dogs.

We would like to introduce you to the one and only Legend! Legend is a Golden retriever/husky mix! He's around 2 years old which makes him a perfect match for anyone! He gets along with cats and kids. He is potty trained! And he knows how to sit and has the best personality! So come on out meet this dude! He would love it if you did!

#1. LCAC wants to say how grateful we are to our wonderful Logan County community! The one's who care and treat their animals like their children & help us everyday!
We know there are circumstances that you cannot care for your Fur babies. We are here to help to the best of our ability!

#2. LCAC is an extremely small facility compared to our surrounding counties.
We are very thankful for all the help from our local animal rescues!
Logan County Animal Rescue & Logan County Human Society!
We also are very thankful to County & Local PD for their help everyday!

#3. As we are a small facility, many times we only have 1 or 2 officers available for the whole County.
We also run the building. (Cleaning, Animal care, Human Care)
We apologize that the building is closed at some times while we are out on calls.
Please leave a massage & we will get back to you according to priority.

#4. There has been an extreme amount of people showing up lately while we are closed, while we are out on calls, or before we're open who let their animals loose on our property!
Please don't do this!!
It is not ok!
These fur babies look so lost! They don't understand you dumping them!!

These are family members! Please don't take them if you can't treat them as so!

We're excited to announce that we're renovating our facility to enhance our services for clients and patients. Starting today, our location will be temporarily closed for 4-8 weeks to complete this project. While our facility takes a short catnap, we will operate at our sister location, Timbercrest Atlanta, 2021 2400th St, Atlanta, IL 61723. Animals are a huge responsibility!! Please don't take, rescue or adopt an animal unless you have a plan if you can't care for them! They give you all their love!! So please try & give that back to them... In saying that... If I didn't show up at 11:30p tonight this fur baby would have been left in the cold & the rain! It's ts not ok!!! We had no calls about a dog throughout the day! She has been fed & warm now!
