Remember the homeless pets of Alcona County on Giving Tuesday😻🐶

Giving Tuesday Northeast Michigan is December 3rd – just two weeks away! (We can’t believe it either!) After a turkey dinner, big sales, and hopefully some quality family time, GIVING TUESDAY is all about giving back! It’s a day to harness the power of collective giving to support the organizations in our communities whose staff, volunteers and donors give each day to make where we live, the place we love to be! While you can support these nonprofits any day of the year, Giving Tuesday is a day of camaraderie, light-heartedness, and spreading GOOD for our communities! With 60 participating nonprofits and literally over 530 Community Foundation funds to choose from, is where it’s at to make an impact and celebrate the giving season! Mark your calendar for the biggest giving day of the year!

❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹We have had a rough month with tons of medical bills and so far, I see no end in sight. We are in desperate need of donations to cover these costs and be able to continue helping the homeless pets and ensuring their health is up to par for them to have the best possible life. If you don’t want to donate through Facebook/Paypal, you can stop by to make a donation when we are open, or send your donation in the mail.

We are open 12-3 most days being only closed on Mon and Thurs. Our mailing address: P.O. Box 310, Lincoln, MI, 48742. Please specify “medical” in a note with your donation.

Here are a few of our recent medical bills. Not shown is a bill for over $700 for 3 cats that have needed extensive testing due to having chronic diarrhea and Upper Respiratory Infections. Also not shown is hundreds of dollars for our sweet girl Cedar who has had to have bloodwork done twice, medications, and other testing along with her dental that is scheduled and you can see that estimate below. Sweet Gypsy had her mass removals today, and we have another eye surgery scheduled.

If you aren’t able to donate, please comment and share to help spread the word! These sweet babies deserve nothing but the best!❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹

THANK YOU ALL for your continuous love and support!

UPDATE: Gypsy is out of surgery and in recovery! She had another little mass on her stomach that was removed also.🩷

Everyone please send good vibes and prayers for our beautiful Gypsy girl! 🩷🩷 She has surgery today to get a mammary mass, and mole, removed. We will be doing a fundraiser for her surgery along with our many medical bills that we have endured this last month! Thank you to those that have already donated! We’ve had sick kitties, an emaciated and infected Cedar girl, an entropion eye surgery, and many more medical needs! 🩷🩷

⭐️ Pet of the Week with Alcona Humane Society!
⭐️Brought to you by Cole's Appliance & Home Furnishings
Koto is 1 year old, neutered, microchipped, heart-worm negative, has his Distemper, Parvo, and Rabies vaccinations, has been dewormed, and is flea treated. Koto is very playful and loves to play fetch. He brings the ball back every time and places it in your hand. He is very smart and a quick learner! He walks well on a leash and is not a jumper. Koto is very loving and has the most warm and welcoming brown eyes. He would make an excellent best friend and snuggler! He would be great in a home with dogs, cats, and children. We really don’t understand why he is still with us! Please give this very handsome boy a home for the howlidays!
