Ever wondered what happens when a patient needs a blood transfusion? There's no "Canine Red Cross," so blood banks are often local efforts by dedicated clinics and organizations. As a general practice transfusing our patients with blood often relies on the generosity of volunteer donor dogs! Most recently one of our own employees dogs "Axel" gave the give of life! The recipient of his blood is now thriving thanks to his donation!
