Snoop gets out and about for more stretches and brushies on the weekends. Although she’s currently content in our quiet radiology suite, she’d prefer a warm lap to curl up on and a window to look out of. Please keep spreading the word about this sweet girl’s search for a permanent home!
Have we told you lately how amazing animals are? Two weeks ago, Buzz became acutely paralyzed in his back legs and was unable to empty his bladder on his own. After a neurologic assessment revealed he had no deep pain sensation in either hind limb, we referred him to Kansas State University Veterinary Health Center for an MRI, which revealed an intervertebral disc ruptured into his spinal canal, putting pressure on his spinal cord. Buzz was given a 20% chance to walk again even with emergency spinal surgery, but his owners wanted to give him every chance possible. This evening, two weeks after surgery, he trotted into the clinic with minimal assistance, tail wagging like crazy. What an incredible dog!
