They play a crucial role in supporting veterinarians and ensuring the well-being of animals in multiple ways. Techs assist in the examination and treatment of animals, providing compassionate care, and educate our pet owners about animal care, treatment plans, and preventative measures! 🐾
Not only regular exams, but they also prepare animals for surgery, administer anesthesia, and monitor patients during procedures. Afterwards, they ensure that medical equipment is cleaned, sterilized, and properly maintained for future patients 🐶🐱

For those curious, a ligature is a special tool used to tie off blood vessels or tissue to stop bleeding and ensure a clean removal. This dog was referred to us after an ultrasound revealed a mass on its spleen. The great news is that dogs can lead happy, healthy lives even without their spleen!
