Nebraska Farm Bureau supports Nebraska farm and ranch families and works for the benefit of all Nebraskans through a wide variety of educational, service, and advocacy efforts. Nebraska Farm Bureau is a member-driven organization with thousands of farm and ranch family members, hundreds of agriculture-supporting members and a number of urban family and individual members. Nebraska Farm Bureau exis

ts and succeeds thanks to more than 58,000 members from every corner of Nebraska. As agriculture is a key to Nebraska’s economic engine and responsible for one in four jobs in Nebraska, Nebraska Farm Bureau’s efforts offer significant payoff to all Nebraskans, both rural and urban. We work to assure access to healthy and nutritious food, increase agricultural exports, pave the way for renewable energy, solve our state’s water challenges, improve our highway system and enhance public education. In addition, Nebraska Farm Bureau members benefit from a wide variety of discounted products and services. Our members are a primary force behind the preservation of family-owned and operated farms and ranches. Our network of local, state and national offices helps families deal with the increasing complexity of agriculture, animal care practices, tax concerns and many other issues. We provide education and support to the next generation of farmers and ranchers who will keep family-owned farming and ranching operations alive and thriving in Nebraska. While much of our work is behind the scenes, our brand is often most visible as Farm Bureau insurance, one of the most respected insurance programs in Nebraska. This affiliated organization, Farm Bureau Financial Services, offers highly competitive rates to Farm Bureau members while simplifying the insurance process. We share a name and the mission to serve the entire state, rural and urban residents alike. The Nebraska Farm Bureau page is intended to provide a place for fans to engage and discuss. Earlier this month, a federal court halted the Beneficial Ownership Information (BOI) reporting requirement under the Corporate Transparency Act, but the Fifth Circuit Court reinstated the Jan. 1, 2025, deadline. More evidence has emerged that food price inflation was a driving issue behind people’s voting behavior this year. Last month, Tidbits mentioned an Associated Press story which reported that 6 in 10 voters who indicated they were “very” concerned about the cost of groceries voted for President Trump. The results of a November survey by researchers at the University of Illinois echo the point. https://www.nefb.org/12/17/2024/food-prices-influence-votes/
