NEFB Supports Bill That Could Help Grow the State’s Livestock Industry
Nebraska Farm Bureau has long advocated for responsibly growing the state’s livestock industry. Doing so strengthens our economy by creating jobs and bolstering the property tax base that pays for things such as county roads, infrastructure, and schools. NEFB testified in support of LB 663 (Storer), a bill which aims to establish a clear and objective process for reviewing conditional use permits and special exemption applications. NEFB believes this bill considers all perspectives, including the applicant, proponents, opponents, and the county, while not lessening local control. In this week’s video, Sen. Storer explains her bill and hear from producers who share how the bill could affect their operations and counties.
