Friends, we have some sad news about our unofficial store mascot, Piper. Some of you may have met Shelby's dog as she is usually in the store. She is a source of joy for the staff here, and it is a ritual to let her out at the end of the day as she runs to every staff member looking for pats. Yesterday Piper leaped from a car while it was still moving and fractured her femur, requiring her good leg to be amputated. Unfortunately, this was her good leg and she will have a long road to recovery ahead of her. We are posting today to ask for donations to help Shelby afford a wheelchair for Piper in order to help this recovery.
