Stable Places offers private lessons utilizing indoor and outdoor riding facilities, a quarter mile outdoor trail as well as adjacent forest trails. Whether accessing our riding lessons, horse assisted psychotherapy, or hosting your birthday party, we pride ourselves on providing a uniquely tailored and mindful experience. For over a decade, we have been working with clients from all walks of life, ages, and abilities.

Horsemanship & Riding Class
October 1st -22nd, Fridays 4-5pm

Give your child an after-school activity that they will never forget. Our 4 week Horsemanship & Riding Class is filled with hands-on horse experience where students learn everything from grooming and horse care to safely handling and guiding horses from the ground. During our time together we see students gain confidence, make new friends, and grow to love horses even more.

Weeks 1-3 students work exclusively with the horses from the ground learning all about grooming, horse care, and how to safely handle horses. Week 4 students will have the opportunity for a short ride led by a handler. Weather permitting, students may even have a chance to learn how to wash a horse! This class is open for students ages 7-11. Sign your child up today and give them a truly unique after-school experience!

Stable Places is a provider of Equine Assisted Psychotherapy and Learning (EAPL), an experienced-based framework designed to empower clients to analyze their situations, make connections, and find their own solutions. Stable Places is certified by the Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association (EAGALA) which is a highly respected standardized model of EAPL.
EAPL is a client driven, experiential therapy in which the arena and horses become a metaphor for the client's own life. The horse's innate ability to read and respond to mood, intention and behavior makes them highly effective mirrors. Meaning and significance is assigned by the client through thoughtfully designed interactions with the horses. A professional, certified counselor helps to highlight progress as it relates to client goals . No horse experience is necessary and no riding is involved. The company of horses is unusual and rewarding for many people.
