I just wanted to warn pet parents about using CBD calming treats or the cbd oils. I had my first bad reaction to them today. The owner came with the dog and she was panting heavily but she also doesn’t like to ride in the car. She normally pants a lot because of nervousness with car rides but it seemed a little more worse than normal this morning. I said I would try to take her and see if she calms down which normally happens when she’s out of the car etc. I tried to start grooming her and she kept laying down right after I tried to get her to stand and kept her neck and head down on the table. She was salivating a lot also. I called the owner within 15 mins because her breathing didn’t get any better and I thing was getting worse. She came and picked up and took her to a vet very soon after. The vet said she was very overheated from all the panting and her airway was closing. She was kept for observation for a few hours and was given some anti inflammatory meds. The dosage for the cbd treats was for a 20-30lb dog and this dog weighed less than 10lbs. Just be cautious when giving treats like this and make sure you dose per weight. Also watch for anything abnormal with your dog. Excessive panting, drooling, overheating, or even vomiting/diarrhea or lethargy. Anything abnormal please see a veterinarian asap.

This is Mr Peppy. I forgot the before picture but his owner is an elderly lady and she said the cutest thing today. She was apologizing for the shape he was in when she brought him and told me she tried cutting some of his noodles out before she came. Poodles have noodles 😂❤️🥰
