Exciting News! In celebration of World Spay Day (Feb. 22) we are going to be performing 30 FREE cat spay and neuter surgeries for Warren County Residents.

If you'd like to be considered, please apply AT THE SHELTER (1245 Progress Drive - Front Royal, VA) Monday through Friday 10-4. Surgeries will be all done on February 22nd, with no exceptions or reschedules. Proof of residency is required. We can take 10 females and 20 males, and will update when all of the spots have been filled. We will also include free rabies vaccinations if needed at the time of surgery.

Surgeries will be done AT THE CLINIC (840-B John Marshall Highway - Front Royal, VA).

Did you know an adult female cat can have as many as 170 kittens in her lifetime, and that her babies can begin reproducing at just 4 months old? It's easy to understand how easily things can get out of control. If you're not sure about surgery and would like to ask questions, please feel free to comment in the discussion or call the shelter at 540-635-4734.

Hello Neighbors! As some of you are aware, there is a proposed plan to have a 30 acre lot at the entrance to Apple Mountain rezoned for commercial development by Sheetz. The original proposal has a huge convenience store, gas pumps, plus a large truck stop with room to accommodate over two dozen trucks. Some of you signed a Change.org petition, which is great, but unfortunately this website doesn't carry much weight legally.
Neighbors are banding together and have retained a lawyer with the Community & Environmental Defense Services. I am apart of the neighborhood outreach committee and we are asking everyone to please take a look at our new website and sign this online petition. It has many reasons for why this development would be catastrophic for our area. This does impact us too, so please sign!
