Full Service Groomer
Your price always includes:
shampoo and conditioner, blowout, brushout, leave-in conditioner, haircut/trim, nail clip/grind, ear cleaning. Peace, Paws & Harmony specializes in customizing our grooming process to your dog's needs. The answer is no, we do not. Cat grooming is a very specialized service and we encourage you to speak with your veterinarian about your cat’s needs

. VACCINATION POLICY: The rabies vaccination is required by law. All pets MUST have a CURRENT rabies vaccination in order for us to care for them. We are unable to groom any pets that do not have a current rabies vaccination. If your dog cannot be vaccinated for rabies due to health reasons, we will confirm that with your vet and groom your dog at our discretion. Other vaccinations may be recommended by your vet, and you should definitely understand what those are, and why your dog needs them, but rabies is the only thing we absolutely require.

POLICY REMINDER - PLEASE READ!

CLOCKS SPRING FORWARD THIS WEEKEND AND MUD SEASON IS HERE!

As such our appointment books are chock full of muddy dogs! We love being busy, but here are some reminders about appointments -

-We do not take walk ins. You must have an appointment. Yes, even for nail trims. Call or text 224-643-7792 for an appointment.

-Your dog must be current on their rabies vaccination and you must provide us with proof of such. This is the law and we are unable to take any dogs that are not current.

-Your appointment is specific to YOUR DOG. Our daily schedule is carefully crafted to accommodate the dogs for that specific day.

We have over 2,000 clients of all sizes, ages and temperaments. Your scheduled time for drop off is customized to accommodate the needs of YOUR dog, and the other clients that we are working with that day. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please let us know AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
If you advise us less than 48 hours from your appointment time, there will be a $40 charge ($20 for nail trims). We will definitely work with you in the event of an emergency, but please don't make every reschedule an emergency.
If you arrive more than 5 minute before your appointment time, please do not drop your dog off early, wait to ring the bell to come in.
Our groomers know when to expect you, and up until your arrival, they are working with the other dogs that are here.
If you arrive more than 10 minutes late, we may not be able to take you for your appointment, and the $40 cancellation fee will stand.
If you need to change your appointment times, CALL US AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. We will do everything we can to work with your schedule, but surprises are are hard to work around.

Lisa from Tailored Training Canine Academy will be here this Thursday at 6pm for a Meet the Trainer Event. Bring your dogs and your questions! She will have a FREE potty training seminar at 6:30. No registration required.

She will be teaching small group classes here at our location - PUPPY CLASS starts January 23rd at 6pm
BEGINNER ALL AGES starts January 30th at 7:30

Lisa is an awesome trainer and a graduate of the Karen Pryor Academy. We have known her for over 20 years and have referred many clients to her, with great success.

Our Story

Peace, Paws & Harmony specializes in customizing our grooming process to your dog's needs. We do not promise a pick-up time and work at the pace that makes grooming the most comfortable for your dog. Some dogs may like to spend the day with us and some dogs might be in a hurry to go home! Older pets may need more breaks and puppies need time to become acclimated to how this whole grooming thing works!

We do not have an open grooming environment for dogs to be loose in the shop. We feel this is too stressful for dogs who may not know each other. For those dogs who would rather not be kenneled while they are with us, we can schedule an express grooming, with a later drop off and early pick up. We also have two spacious therapy rooms, where your dog can wait for you in a more lounge-like atmosphere. Our goal is to make the grooming experience as stress-free as possible, for you AND your dog!

All grooms, baths and nail trims are by appointment only - please consider making your appointments at least 2 weeks in advance. QUICK REMINDER ON OUR VACCINATION POLICY: All pets MUST have a CURRENT rabies vaccination in order for us to care for them. If you do not have your pet's current rabies certificate, we will call your veterinarian or Lake County Animal Control to verify that they are current. We are unable to groom any pets that do not have a current rabies vaccination. The rabies vaccination is required by law - although we recommend other vaccinations, we understand that should be decided between you and your vet, based on what is best for your pet's particular situation. If your dog cannot be vaccinated for rabies due to health reasons, we will confirm that with your vet and groom your dog at our discretion.
